Yess! 0.8.8!

But holy crap! Those portraits are awesome!
By moonlight we ride ten thousands side by side
With swords drawn held high our whips and armour shine
Hail to thee our infantry still brave beyond the grave
All sworn the eternal vow the time to strike is now

Some of them are really good, especially the wose. But Lady Jessica just looks...odd. Not at all like I imagined her.

same with haldric. :)

eldaric, burin, rudry/ladoc, edmund, triton dude, king adoran, el'isomithir, and the familiar are really good.

jevyan, aryad, redmage, elilmaldur-rithrandil, and dionli are good, but not great.

haldric, jessica, aethyr and logalmier look nothing like i imagined them, and i think they need improvement. ;)

Okay, the Windows version is available at http://www.wesnoth.org/files/Wesnoth-windows-0.8.8.exe

Could someone who knows how please upload it to Sourceforge? :)

Clarification of changelog entry

Post by sanna »

One of the entries in the changelog is somewhat cryptic: the LESS_NIMBLE_ELF macro.

This is a description of a tweak to the elvish fighter line. It affects Elvish Captain, Elvish Champion, Elvish Fighter, Elvish Hero and Elvish Marshal.
These are declared to be less nimble in forest, and have only 60% defense there.

The other elves, f ex the Elvish Archer line, are unaffected, and remain at 70% defense in forest.

Bug: Downloaded campaigns do not appear until Wesnoth is restarted.

@Dave:
I got a prob with the Windows-Version: The german translation is NOT up to date. It is more than three or four weeks old. I don't know about the other translations. The translation in this version seems to be the one from the last (0.8.7) release. But i hoped to be able to play the release with a quite actual version.

And there is also a bug:
If you want to change the language you have to restart the whole game.

I hope these probs can be fixed,
Nils Kneuper aka Ivanovic

PS: I don't know about the linux-version. I hope these probs don't exist there.
