I dig the new middle mouse scrolling. I don't use the "hold and scroll" but the new smooth scrolling is teh awesome.

Yes I know it took a whole lotta time, but finally opensuse packages are done. Two things blocked me from updating: New Years parties and a blocker bug in the opensuse buildservice which is finally fixed now, so expect me to be on time with upcoming releases! :)

Hi, I updated the svn to this new version and compiled it on ubuntu.
When I run the game, when trying to load any map I get the error:
"An error due to possible invalid WML ocured
The error message is:
A map without a header is not supported
When reporting the bug please include the folloing error message:
Condition!(header_offset==std::string::npos or comma_offset < header_offset)'failed at map.cpp: 341 in function read

Is this a problem related to this version? or is it just on my computer?

thanks
Manuel

It's a problem regarding some content left on your system. Move away your downloaded campaigns/scenarios.

Corrupted file?

Post by kontorotsui »

Hello and congratulations on the new 1.3.13 version.

I downloaded and compiled it on SuSE 10.3, but I get a corrupted file in "Plunging into the darkness" scenario, in the Heir to the Throne campaign.

This is a short summary of the error I get on console...

scenario: '14_Plunging_into_the_Darkness'
next_scenario: '14_Plunging_into_the_Darkness'
Jan 07 19:49:02 error engine: SYNC: In recruit Elvish High Lord: has checksum ta

Seems Kalenz is the problem.
Should I report this to the bug forum? Seems the coders already know of this kind of problem.
I did a clean install, didn't touch or edit any file.
If you need I can post the full error output.

Best regards,
Andrea.

I observed the very same problem in different campaigns. I reported it in
"Bad moon rising" (see http://www.wesnoth.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19299) and I also faced it in the new "Return of the Legions" after finishing first scenario.

If it happens in at least three different campaigns I doubt that it is caused by campaign code. I tried a self compiled 1.3.13 on Debian Etch as well as the package in Debian experimental with same effect. Before reporting a bug I wonder what savegame I should upload as example for the problem. Me feeling would be that you report the problem because it was caused in an official campaign.

Kind regards

Andreas.

Hi,

I checked bug tracking system and think this bug was reported several times as #10706, #10658 and the long explanation is given in #10633.

Kind regards

Andreas.

I think this is the right place to post this, but I'm not sure. I'll risk it anyway.

Many campaigns have been added to the development version, but no usermade eras. Is this in the foreseeable future? After all, the Extended Era is about the 4th most downloaded package on the server, and I'm sure most of you can empathize with my disgust for getting a full game set up and then I find out 3 people were lying about having EE and I have to restart.

They would have to be well balanced which is a tremendous amount of work to get done.
