It WON'T WORK!1

The game won't start cause it is missing a file, i can't i can't remember what the file is called but it is a .dll file. Have anybody else had this problem? and what is a .dll file? oh and it is the latest stabel branch for windows. i downloaded the game to my mothers computer and then kopied the setup and all data. and i wonderd if the file might exist in erlier versions of the game and if i could kopie it from there?

2) No need to 'SHOUT' in the topic title, we can 'hear' you just fine.

3) What version of Windows?

4) Try starting it again and this time write down the name of the .dll file and then post that up here.

When you've written down the name of the dll, google for it and download it (you can get it from microsoft I believe), we can't distribute it legally.

Try finding that file, but if you have trouble with that, (I did,) try downloading a different version.

Uhh.. sorry for shouting, i didn't see that. And it's xp and the full file name is MSVCR71.dll and thanks.

It's just a driver that your computer needs installed in order to run the game, I had a similar problem in the past. You can download it below.

If it did not go there on it's own and Wesnoth still will not work, you can move the file into the C:\WINDOWS\system32 folder. It should work now.
