Reserved Nickname ?

i just tried to log in with my usual nickname, namely "raist" and it seemed to be reserved. I've never had any problems before with it. Can someone explainme why?
Do i have to pick another nick?

Edit : 1.2.6 multiplayer server, didn't try it on the dev server

This may happen
1) if you have been logged in, wesnoth crashed and you re-login: for a few minutes (don't know exactly how long) the server 'thinks' you are still logged in
2) another player uses the same name without knowing about you (well, 'raist' isn't that common)
3) someone is impersonating you

There was a discussing about implementing a feature to RESERVE user names, look here (combating anti-social behavior on the MP server).

i am well aware of what you said hjw,
(ok not the forum thread cause i don't read the forum very often)
I guess i'll have to be more precise :
i did NOT get the usual "Nickname already in use" answer from the server but rather a :
"The nick 'raist' is reserved and can not be used by players"

It's a bug in the server. Use a nick not involving 'ai' for now.

The bug has been fixed and the servers updated so it will take effect on the next server restart.
