Are there other items in the game or was this the sole one?
You can see a collection of items in the testscenario, just start the program with
wesnoth -t

Type ":clear"
You can also define a hotkey (such as F9) for "clear messages".

By the way, where can I get these units? They look Warhammer-ish:

Extended Era it's an add-on
"There are two kinds of old men in the world. The kind who didn't go to war and who say that they should have lived fast died young and left a handsome corpse and the old men who did go to war and who say that there is no such thing as a handsome corpse."

There is only one testscenario, and the option "-t" starts the program with it.

No, the test scenario is used to test and inspect your scenarios, it is usually used by developers or WML coders to try out their own scenarios first, then if it's playable or the person feels it is good enough, to be put into a campaign.

Welcome to the forums! I bet you have tons of questions still left unanswered and seek guidance. However, this topic should not be posted in the Strategies section, it does not discuss or comment about the strategy used in the game, how some people play wesnoth, and tips on the gameplay, but rather some other feedbacks/questions. The proper section to post this is in the User's forum, but you're new here, so no big deal , check the description under each forum section so next time you'll know where to post.

No, a completely separate scenario, not existing anywhere in game. It is there just for testing purposes, and you can start it only by running "wesnoth -t". The location is "C:\ Program Files\ Wesnoth\ data" and the filename is something like "test.cfg" or "testscenario.cfg" or something like this.

You can modify it as you wish, just keep it syntactically correct -- or the game will not start. But even if you manage to destroy the file, and you do not have the backup, just delete it.
