But that's still good advice. Recently I have found that religiously pressing CTRL+V really helps (perhaps its obvious, but I didn't discover its usefulness until recently).

I'm a new player, and I would prefer if posters in this and other how to play threads respected that and didn't use acronyms. When they use the acronyms it is because they are debating the merits of the faction, but they are using a mode of communication that excludes new players from understanding.

From an efficiency point of view, what's better? A) Every new player having to find the acronym wiki and look up the acronym every time they come across one, or B) The poster typing a few more characters. It especially makes sense if you consider that there might be *gasp* casual players out there.

Anyway, someone linked me the wiki for acronyms...

I just learned about this recently. This is CRUCIAL to playing this game well. It really should be more clearly taught to the noob players, perhaps in one of the noob campaigns.

So...I've been wondering for a while who added this to the OP:
General elements of the game strategy(not done yet):
Economy
About luck and risk management
Recruitment patterns
Unit synergy
XP saving and leveling decisions
Proper use of abilities and weapon specials
Special advices regarding team games
MP netiquette

Individual guides on each of the default MP maps(not done yet)
:?: :?: :?:

I mean, the original project never got finished....so why add even more to the fray? Who was going to write those guides?

I really wish you would continue with this series. It has helped me a lot.

That was kind of random.

I wrote the guide. I keep it updated. It's a default MP scenario. How is that...random?

Isn't this a strategy guide on the factions of Wesnoth? It doesn't really have much to do with special scenarios. I also don't know if this is a big deal for stickies, but it's also a revival.
