That Chariot is cool in my opinion. :)
And I agree about moving the shledder (or whatever the word is) downer.

Kidding me? Your sprites are cool. I have a lot of interest in the era. I'd like to make a campaign based on it if I had the time
It is ok to correct me if my English is too bad.

I am thinking of kicking ronin out of swordsman line, I was thinking to add him into samurai line for north faction, but not sure about it...for critique, it has weird shape or it is just because of those colours coliding, but now it looks more like kukri than katana, and the back hilt looks flat...besides I would like to have his sword sheated, but if you will find a nice idea where to put him you can do whatever you want with him :D

These are quite an improvement from the older sprites in the first few pages, good job! Let me guess, Shogun 2 renewed a little inspiration in your project? :P

A few of them are a little hard to read in the darker areas, but since most of the troublesome ones have TC shades there on their chests, perhaps it looks better in game, as the magenta shades aren't very representative of the in-game TC color shades. Either way, maybe some darker, non-TC shades, like a neutral dark grey could be used to further define the edges of dark areas?

The Monk-Bishop-Sage line could also use some darker edges on the shadowed side.

Nice work! :)

@shiremct: Thanks. Well to tell you the truth shogun 2 didnt renewed inspiration :lol2:, I am kind of historical enthusiastic so I know a thing or two about those guys. Took those tips into consideration and made some tweaks, you can see them in the next release of this faction, because using wesnoth style of units is kind of hard thing to do. The only thing bugging me are the names for the factions, I still havent figured that out.

@Sfault: As you can see one is pure melee and one is pure range.

@Scaeb: Well you could asked him trough PM,or just search his posts.

They seem to have short limbs.
Is it originally belonged to a race?
