'Map not found' (basic, basic, question!)

Post by barefootguru »

Hi people,

I'm putting together a scenario for my boy with his maps in it.

I've started with the generic campaign on the campaign server and have modified that. I thought I'd followed all the instructions, but must have missed something: when I try to run it I get 'The game could not be loaded: load_game_failed: Map not found'

Can someone take a look for me please?

Many thanks!

Does the cache directory need emptying between runs? It doesn't always seem to realise there's been changes.

In your scenarios directory, there are 2 config files: First_Scenario.cfg and the_desert_of_snow.cfg.

These files have the same scenario id, and that is confusing the game.

You should remove First_Scenario.cfg or change the scenario id of the_desert_of_snow.cfg to something unique (don't forget to change the first_scenario key in your main cfg file if you do this).
Hope springs eternal.

Awesome, thanks scott! No wonder I couldn't find the problem.
