Alternate walking corpse upgrade

Post by martenzo »

Walking corpse -->Meat Puppet --> ?

Meat Puppets are corpses, that have survived some combats and have gotten some wear'n'tear. Most bodies collapse when they get too much damage, but these have surprised their masters with better resilience than others of their kind, so the master has decided to patch them up and harden their bodies.

Sounds good, but I would call it a Meat Puppet.

That's worse than the soulless.

And the soulless was worthless.

I mean, it gets almost nothing more but costs upkeep.

I wouldn't want one of those.

If it had a hardened body, that would mean high resistances. Since you recruit corpses to form walls and absorb damage in the first place, this unit would be better at that but not advance much otherwise. It could be resistant to fire specifically, which could have some nice effects for the faction.

I don't recruit them for that, I recruit the to overwelm my enemies (oops shouldn't have said that). Also I made some updates in my previous post.

This looks cool, but, there seems to be no point.

seems too much like a weakened bodyguard unit. Don't like at all.
I speak what's on my mind.

Which is why nothing I say makes sense.

I don't like this part much. Why would you ever choose "Ram", which can only do 12 points of damage, and has only one chance to hit, over "Fist" which has two chances to hit, and can do 14 points of damage if they both connect?

I thought the same thing.

If this unit is implemented, it would have to be at least 15-1.

If they have between 8 and 12 health, and the WC is the only one you can attack with (they will retreat next turn), you want to go with the one that has the greatest chance to kill, not the one that has the most potential damage, or the one with the greatest average damage.

You could also give Ram firststrike or charge, to better simulate how the attack works.

Charge is an option. But I was just kidding with this post, I wanted to know how far this idea would go and how many people would support it    .

I wondered when you renamed the unit 'Meat Puppet', but you never know with non-native speakers if jokes always hit their mark.
