I did it by my way too and i have Frost Heavy Warrior with defense as his previous lvl Frost Warrior so i suppose that maybe you didnt save the file after change it (before you reopen wesnoth window)? Do it once again, but this time all other folders (besides Ageless) take from add-ons to data (one up in folders) and then open it and save the file after change it.

Edit: btw in Windows 7 Home Premium is something weird with Wesnoth because even when you set to have addons folders in same place as wesnoth folders then its created in c/user/appdata/local/virtualstore/programfiles(x86)/wesnoth... but wesnoth folders are in c/programfiles(x86)/wesnoth/... I inform about it because other options can be that you have AE twice on your disc and you modify the one which is not used by wesnoth game.

Okay. The whole double save thing does make sense. Ill check it when I get home in 2 hours and find out what happens.

I did everything you said and got no success out of it. F5ed it and everything and didn't get anything out of it. I even tried changing the unit's movement type to frozen_armoredfoot to see if I could get it to actually work and nothing. I don't know why its not wanting to work (whether it be an issue with Wesnoth updating or what I dont know). None the less, I still get enjoyment out of this era out of the several other races available within it. Shoot, me and my friends have developed stories using most of these races XP Its quite fun.

And another note. I am using 1.11.16.

New critical problem detected, with burrow, causing

error general: An error due to possibly invalid WML occurred
The error message is :
A terrain with a string with more than 4 characters has been found, the affected terrain is :EmfGs
 
When reporting the bug please include the following error message :
Condition 'str.size() <= 4' failed at src\terrain_translation.cpp:716 in function 'string_to_layer_'.
Fix is ready and next version will be released very soon.

Some units have very small experience requirement to achieve an AMLA. This may make them too easy to get cured.

One example is AE_mag_Al_Kamija_Neutral_Summoner in Masterofbalance.cfg. This unit only asks for 60 experience to get an AMLA.

Why not just follow the rule of regular wesnoth units, the experience required equal to Level * 50?

I plan to check there values, I have already created list of those I have noticed with too low value.

But some eras (like Archaic) use lower than default values for AMLA (usually 80 for L2, 100 for L3 and 150 for L4 but with some exceptions with even lower xp))
And some other units do rely on their low xp

Can you please update Khalifate unit images?
Currently the era still use the images of an older version khalifate, in which some units like jundi do not look as cool as in default 1.12.
It pronounces Sha'ha, not Zara.

Will check this for next version, however much delayed it might be. For december there was no need for update, people weren't ready; and currently I'm too busy to create version fulfilling all ~80 lines of my todo list. Then again I might need to learn to compile wesnoth first in order to fix #22987 [Gna.org] and #22952 [Gna.org] that I need in order to work effectively. So I find it unlikely to see any progress before april, but will create new version no later than june.


As it has happened, this bug has been noticed. https://github.com/wesnoth/wesnoth/comm ... 11c4595ad1 Just 1.13 though, so I still need to learn how to compile.
About 22952 I have got used to it I suppose.

Testing has showed that for 1.12.1 Random Not Default+EE is only selectable by host, others get random not default even if they selected not EE unless host changes it to correct.

Currently no info why this happens.

One possibility is that this is just string problem meaning + breaks something.

Same thing happens when selecting any random variant.

Seems that 1.12.1 decided to start enforcing id: faction ID - must be unique to your era. No gameplay effect of [multiplayer_side].


As such for now I can only suggest to use 1.12.0.


Edit: No info how the situation is for 1.12.2, but I do not force you to use version you are not comfortable with.
