I approve of Hello Kitty. Her attacks cause Slow, 100% Impact, Blade, and Pierce resistance. Fear the uber-cute marshmallow cat. :lol2:

On a more serious note, the Sengoku period in Japan also saw the Japanese being introduced to firearms, rudimentary gunpowder weapons. Outside of those who are interested in Japanese history, not many people are aware of the fact that by the late 1400s, possibly even before then, firearms, were already in usage throughout Japan, (and in Asia and Europe in general). Don't forget that the term "bullet proof" was coined around this time period in Europe, when blacksmiths would test their plate armour by firing a close range pistol shot at it to see how the armour would hold. I think perhaps adding some Japanese riflemen to the mix would be super keen. Besides, how can you say no to an army of riflemen backed by shikigami? 8)

In a game of cuteseyness, copyright and parody 1) parody beats copyright, 2) copyright beats cuteseyness and 3) cuteseyness beats parody (well not really, but I had to add a third one).

simplest i can think of. the samurai/scout dichotomy is meant to represent low buke and high, more traditional samurai. Alternatively, the conscript can be made to be a bladesman that advances to both Ashigaru and Samurai. Ranged is provided by Scout and Apprentice. Meat and push by the rest.

Code: Select all

Conscript (lvl0)-> Ashigaru-> Kashira; Yari, fstrike

Samurai-> Bannerman-> Yojimbo; yari, katana, gains steadfast
          Sohei; naginata, bow- AMLA specials

Scout-> Rider-> Yumitori; sword, bow; gains marks

Apprentice-> Shugenja -> Yamabushi; arcane ranged, blade, heals

I resent that JW, I never ever proposed a ninja or far east based faction.
Fear me! For I am higher level than you!
