as promised a sortiment of hats for the MoL...
since i actually still prefer the old version and jetryl requested a new design i am interested in his feedback/choice only. sorry guys, no big poll/discussion this time...

The one I like the most, is the one in the lower far left. I do think it's a better fit - I like the design, more than the current one, and I think it also matches the sprite better.


Slightly irrelevant, since 'there can be only one final choice' but in case you're curious, the next ones would be (in no particular order) the one in the far lower-right, and the 2 ones in the upper-right.

I backported all mage/necromancers' portraits available so far to the maintenance branch - this means that they are in the 1.4.5 release, whose source code has already been packaged (Ivanovic will kill me for saying this).

mmh - you're right definitively more powerful and priest-like.
about the age, i don't know - i changed nothing about the face, i guess i could make part of the jaw line more sagging. but to tell the truth, i don't have much motivation to do that; this is the 8th version of her, i post here....

Um, now that I think of it, it seems to be just an awful effect of scaling down the portraits making them look older.

I guess he compared the scaled down version of the previous one with the new one and thus perceived an age change.

Looks nice. I like the draped ribbons on either side of her head. somehow the hat makes her look more... maternal, which IMO is a good thing.

I think that the younger feel comes from the lack of head wrappings. Or at least the head looks completely different without it, even if it is the same head/face.
