Is it only me or is this file you upped one of the most entertaining Undead versus Drake battles I've seen lately.
Featuring khiM's Drakes playing a survival-like style versus Quetzalcoatl's rushing Undead.

=> Correction: "Undead charge at night! amazing how skeletons can burn at day. Here you go!"

some howling ghosts badlands games.
in the first game, nelson beat me with orc 1 vs drake 2 on howling ghost badlands. after he beat me, i told him it was rigged and drakes could not beat orcs with that match-up on that map if luck and skill level is close to the same. so we played three more games. then i played a game vs grrr, except with drake 1 orc 2. player 1 won every time. the fourth game vs nelson isn't saved on my computer, but it is on the ladder.

the game vs grrr, saved shortly before he left. drake was p1 this time. after an early beating, i came back and grrr's orcs could not get the one up on me.

if a good move is made for bad reasons, is it still a good move?

Yeah, I feel as if the decisive moment came when I chose to not trap Killer595's drake leader (2nd day?). I feared the leadership bonus tbh, although my orcs clearly outnumbered the drakes in that area. I chose to go clockwise instead of further pushing ccw, perhaps that was the biggest mistake.

Edit: another mistake was to lose 2 dogs for one augur, silly me =)

excellent replays, i want to challenge killer on that map as p2 :)

i also think that p1 is overpowered. posted on the ladder site thread

time for a nice 1v1 i won against a really defensive p1 elves on freelands:

plk2 playing shaman

me as leaderhip drakes.

and a successful example how patience and stockpiling cash can lead to a silent and swift victory.

had amazing -14 % throughout the game, and the LAST elfish !!! ATTACK made my day.

was a ladder game and therefore very slow.

This is probably both the best and the most absurd game I've ever played. It has to be seen to be believed.

that was just awesome. with 20 losses and 9 kills, to come back like that, was really something great. i kept thinking to myself, did he upload the wrong replay? he's just getting slaughtered here. you had bad luck hitting his leader for so long, but at the last chance, your units did you proud. wow.

he did do a not great job of protecting/healing his leader, but your perseverance and stubbornness was just admirable. GG

out of curiousity, did you two random? you utilised the power of drake flare leader well.

i think plk2 played well, maybe except for a few errors. his forces were 1 or 2 hexes too forward in the center for defending against drakes, and that contributed to him not covering the left side of the map well. i don't think the wose recruit was a good idea, even against random. the mage recruit in the later part of the game was bad. i think he recruited too many fighters rather than archers.

it was well played by you too. not forcing your way through the center. taking advantage of drakes mobility to move your forces like water to the left side of the map. i feel that the small attack on the right side was not sound though, but your forces fought well there and won.

nice game and a pleasure to watch :)

i didn't really understand where the bluff was after watching it twice. but it was a good game.

he made a commital mistake running elves onto flat while letting your dwarf zoc to block their retreat. maybe he forgot about the dwarf.

i think you played about accurate tactically. good game!
