Nickname's maps

Well, I figured I'd steal a good idea while it was still on my mind, and create a single thread for all my future maps.
I'll start it off with one I've been working on for a while, but can't seem to get quite right or come up with a name for.

I think this map favors drakes...
First read, then think. Read again, think again. And then post!

It probably does, though saurians require four moves on ice and drakes can't move well on caves.

Here's another map, a 2v2 this time.

4P_Split_In_Two
Some magical oddity has caused the battleground of you and your opponent to mirror itself... With some small differences, of course.

Suggested teams are 1 and 4 vs. 2 and 3

One I had saved already, as 6mountain, of all things.
Teams are 1 and 4 vs. 2 and 3

I just saw your newest map and liked it. Except it seemed to rely to heavy on the impassable mountain fog hexes. I'm just glad that someone is making new maps for me to kick your butt on:)

Though I've already posted this one, it's gone through some editing, as a dwarvish fighter could outrun a spearman on almost every part of the map.

Edited again, so water units aren't quite so useless in the center and land units are more mobile on the outside.

I'm trying out this idea as a team game, I'm told the map looks like a fancy morituri though.
Teams should be 1 and 4 vs 2 and 3

Did you guys noticed that drakes are favored if the map features one of the following?

* too much snow
* too much deseret (even more)
* small map without cavewalls inside
User:Kshinji
Probably there's no point for me posting here, but i'll raise my PC to 1337 before leaving again ;P -- just kidding.

Actually when there is 2hex wide river fe. , drakes are favored.

And most battlefields does not include a large walls. Unless youre fighting in China. I guess thats why they could see dragons and survive there. They had a Great Wall. Not Cavewall, but its always better than nothing.

And well, i would lkike to make maps that include snow, desert, rivers, and does not include cavewalls. And these maps shouldnt favor drakes. But somehow the drakes are those who are almost alwyas favored by unbalanced maps. Maybe the drakefly is unbalanced just?

Actually when there is:
a two hex wide river,
or a sand hex,
or a swamp hex,
or no hexes of cavewall,
or two hexes in a row of snow,
or a hex of lava,
or a hex of canyon,
or (horror of horrors) a hex of deep water,
...drakes are favored.

Seriously, drakes unbalance 99% of otherwise legitamite maps. That's why I have a policy of not balancing my maps for Drakes to play on. "The map isn't unbalanced for Drakes, Drakes are unbalanced for the map."

I'm a little confused, was that last map friendly to drakes?
