Elvish Shaman upgrade: herbalist

Post by Thrawn »

I think it would be interesting to give an elf creature poison, and what better than an elf experienced in herb-lore. It would keep cure, have a better melee than the druid, keep thorns, but weaker slow ability.

That sounds a lot better than the druid... maybe drop the slow altogether.

On the other hand, not advancing into the flying Shyde is a disadvantage. Maybe if the herbalist is a terminal advancement...

That doesn't sound so bad. The best way towards implementation is probably to get some graphics for it now, as well as the stats of the unit. If it doesn't make it into the game, or into a good scenario, I would still like to have it in my *home* version of Wesnoth.

Slow and heal are the things which make the shaman useful and unique, 1 shaman can really sabotage a iron mauler with their slow attack, making it not be able to do 22 of its 44 damage. It is really useful used properly.

I can do a description for u: Appearance:elf, clothes: like the nature, weapons: staff,... anyway take the description from the elf shaman and then change abit so it looks more powerful and upgraded.

Winner. Right there.

So...will now elves have poison  ?

Yes, i know this post may not have contributed to the idea or thread, but i'm frankly quite confused with this idea.

A flying tree that wasn´t intentional

Another try and if it´s not used I´ve got after small changes and edits some good female variations of my Aragwaith mages

That one looks really nice :-) I think when (IF) after 1.0.0 we will add to the game high elves, and sorceress will be removed from shaman line we can put instead of her herbalist. Just it has to be well-balanced :-)
