For consistency, could the turn numbers be in brackets next to the figure, like they are at the destination?

Hmm... it seems that it would be good to have the exact same format. That way you can know what the defense of your unit will be at its resting points.irrevenant wrote:For consistency, could the turn numbers be in brackets next to the figure, like they are at the destination?

Numbers in brackets sounds good to me.
If we had percentages at these marks as well as numbers, might it get a little overcrowded? Or perhaps the font size could be reduced.
Also, where will the numbers be placed in the hex? There is no one set place we can keep or else the footprints will overlap when at different angles.
Or would you suggest that, like at the end of your path, the numbers are larger and over the top of the footprints in the centre of the hex?
Any ideas?

Since I am 'new' to the thread, I think that it is an excellent idea. I remember once not knowing how many turns it would take for Konrad to get to the Scepter of Fire, in HttT, and I actually had to add tags, to see would it make any sense for me to try and play the scenario to the end...
P.S: Maybe make a feature request?

Feature requests can be made at bugs.wesnoth.org, but if you think it might be of debatable value or already proposed, I think it's better to ask here in the forum where it can be discussed.
This feature, however, seems like a good idea to Feature Request.

In case you've not read the more recent replies, bioman, we decided against alpha images early on.
The request I submitted is simply asking for the numbers like my original idea, which went down quite well.
I haven't had a reply yet, but we'll see how it goes . . .
