Well, the iPhone version did come out a year or so ago, which they probably got confused with.

I didn't pay much attention to their uninformed discussion, but I did scream out in rage when the guy ACTUALLY MOVED HIS HORSEMAN TO ATTACK NEXT TO A VILLAGE. He didn't take the village and enjoy it's next turn benefits- he MOVED NEXT TO IT. And he didn't kill the enemy unit so he just basically lost a village for 2 or so turns.

good job

If you read the comments you'll also see that the guys did no research ahead of time.

When I saw this thread's title, I thought it sounded like a good thing... obviously I was wrong. This is disgusting. I had to stop watching it.
It's funny, to an extent, but it completely misrepresents Wesnoth. I sure hope that it doesn't get very many views.

To be fair, there IS a TD mod floating around out there, which I would guess is in the iPad version.

Yeah, that kinda bugged me for a bit, but there are quite a lot of unfinished and older sprites in the game. The sheer uninformed-ness was what irked me personally. Especially at the beginning.

At least criticizing artwork is actually reviewing.

My summary of their summary:

Hi! We're here to be informed reviewers. So, about Wesnoth, its a strategy game, it has a ton of cool stuff. The game also has a nifty tower defense mode! Did you know it has a ton of cool stuff? I suck at strategy games, btw. There is a lot of content. The graphics aren't that good. The gameplay is really basic. It comes out on iPad. Here's my arbitrary rating of pretty good but not awesome. So yeah.

Make of it what you will.

However, it is nice that some folks (with high production values) took the opportunity to review the game, and spoke well of it. If you guys should take anything away from this it's that Wesnoth for iPad is getting some good attention.
