Re: Return from the Abyss [SP campaign for 1.12]
Roaming the dunes 1st bug: the uncovering of hidden units messes up movement of own units. They end up not being able to move the whole movement allotment afterwards. Since you can uncover units not only from front, but also while moving around units later, that can mess up disposition against ogre...

Re: [poll] Northern Rebirth unused evil branch poll
I rather see fresh new campaigns than someone wasting his time by trying to revive a side arm of a campaign as deeply flawed as Northern Rebirth.

Re: Dawn of Thunder [SP campaign for 1.11.10 and later]
May I ask how unfinished this campaign is? (The intro post or umc list entry aren't exactly up to date.)

Re: Are humans overfeatured?
All this can be done and is done in user made content. Different units, different races, completely different eras, sometimes even proper mercenary companies ... and single-player content hardly matches multiplayer factions even in mainline. Just don't obsess over content shipped with the game and y...

Re: Let's Play After the Storm
I really did not like this scenario when I first played it. The story is ever more comedy and the former hero killed off to make space for different loyals. Inky captures this well, it just felt grotesque to me how the same enemies show up again and again. Galas was cool, he could have retired, but ...

Re: Let's Play After the Storm
Galas was a brilliant leader in IftU, sadly he lost the knack afterwards.

Re: Add's Army
Hi, I tried playing Add's Army but I can't even finish the first scenario. The undead are just too strong against only peasants & woodsmen. I tried going for the leader, but when I killed him, someone else just became the leader. I know that I'm missing something. Do reinforcements arrive? How ...

Re: Son of the Black Eye
The Silent Forest is hard, no doubt. (I am on this scenario in a current replay as well w/ same difficulty and w/ significantly less gold, 168.) What comes to my mind seeing your recruits is the complete absence of grunts, especially mid xp warriors are a great, resilient (w/ implied level up), hard...

Re: Return from the Abyss [WIP campaign for 1.12]
The Plague : Just added a replay. (Thanks for the new loyal unit.) The Forest of the Crossing : This is a large roleplay-y map (I remembered Hunter of the East large maps a bit) with a lot of hidden surprises. Only one was activated (and then not really used), but since I replayed Plague so I still...

Re: Return from the Abyss [WIP campaign for 1.12]
Misty Valley : Misty mystery scenario, I expected more of an assault so blew up all my gold reserves. Learned that naffats have a quite good movement type. Once you get into the rhythm there isn't that much fighting anymore. The mechanism is good, although it was quite the calm scenario in the end,...

Re: Return from the Abyss [WIP campaign for 1.12]
Iron and Mud : Cool scenario. I admittedly watched Inky's replay before playing in earnest. I played less nimble (stayed at day against thinned out merfolk) and with higher losses. The uprising contributed little to the win, but wrecked my income, which was about 0 instead of +15 or so the turn it ...

Re: Return from the Abyss [WIP campaign for 1.12]
The orcs strike back : Taking out the small leaders does not really seem viable with no excess force to spare (I had less gold than inky). Going for red first, however, works. I was very worried about the steady reinforcements red got and the green caravan guard piling up over time, but thankfully ...

You have fire damage dealers, that also do good retail in melee + your own healers.

Re: Let's Play After the Storm
Yeah, hope you will reach the point where I gave up AtS and teach me how to continue. What is your take on sprites in this campaign? (Were they changed to magical weapon special?)
