Re: Can't beat this level

I don' t remember the name of the level, but its where you are underground, and you need to go through this lava chamber and beat the trolls i think. i can't get there in time. And when i do, the lava hs so udderly destroyed my forces that all the level 2...

Well, pick one then. What I mean is - if it is necessary to have it possible to have the female variation, I'd prefer to have it be a choice rather than be random. But I'd prefer to both of them simply not having the possibility of having the female variation. Given my usual bias towards the status...

The current system is fine. We're entering a transitional phase, which should be seen as an exception. The presence of exceptions does not invalidate a rule. The normal descriptions are accurate 90% of the time, and in several weeks they will once again be accurate. I added a note on the downloads ...

The big deal is simply that I'd like to choose when I play as a male, and when I play as a female. It just seems wierd to have the possibility of having someone whose nick is, for example, "turin" (a male character) being a female unit. And I see no reason why it SHOULD be random, ...

Re: weird error

It says my help.cfg misses closing tag for tag topic at line 579 or something. WTF? It means there is an actual error in some user-made content somewhere, but the WML preprocessor didn't figure it out until it made it to help.cfg line 579. If you don't close a quote or tag (for example), the WML pr...

If it were up to me, saurians would be an ever-present feature of the landscape no matter where you go, like wolves, birds, and beavers. They would just happen to be sentient and aggressive. I think it makes most sense that they are usually most like prairie dogs - they are widespread pests that liv...

Um, yes, I do. (If you haven't figured it out, I'd prefer to have no units that can be both male and female). But it is more important in the selection of the leader's gender, because the leader represents the player, and the player shouldn't be forced to be a different gender... for example, if I'...

A release is a snapshot in time of the development process. Therefore, all releases are in development. The focus and pace of development are what change.

The name "development" is good; it's just that we're tapering down to 1.2, so the most recent versions have been focusing on polishing everything up. They're quite stable and very playable.

I'm leaning towards #6 because I think the sallow, jaundiced look is better than the porky pig look. #5 is too dark.

Yes, several times. We could require a version tag in the main .cfg file, download the .pbl file along with the campaign, or have the game read the version from the .pbl file and dump it into an index file. The last option is probably the easiest.
