Re: Undead Empire - Version 1.0.2 released!

I played through a few turns on 1.11.11. Most things seem to be working as far as I could tell. I noticed a few things: I got 6 WML warnings to start regarding Deserthome, Foresthome, Mountainhome, Waterhome, Heal +3 and Inspire becoming depreciated in 1.12. Several images are not missing. Those tha...

Re: Some 11.9 issues

Hi, thanks for the feedback. I can't test anything just now. Please check to see if the first two are known bugs (updating to 1.11.11 to retest would also be great), and report them separately: http://forums.wesnoth.org/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=39706 That way we don't forget about it. For comments ab...

Re: Wesnoth 1.11.11 (1.12 beta 2)

Where we can see the bug list ? Ok I found it, I didnt see it before because the certificat is not secure for firefox. bugs.wesnoth.org, for anybody else looking. ;) I don't know, but I assume the certificate is a money issue or something - the site is fine. I do hope anyone going there to report b...

Re: Wesnoth 1.11.11 (1.12 beta 2)

There are a number of bugs that are getting attention right now. If you can reproduce it easily then please file a bug report about (if you haven't already) it so that it doesn't get lost in the shuffle.

Re: ANNOUNCEMENT: 4player Map Contest and Overhaul!

The last map contest was great fun. I'm sure any maps removed can end up in an add-on of former mainline maps, but I think there's no need to keep old stuff around that few people use just because it's always been there. I'm looking forward to seeing some fresh ideas! :D

Re: Are forums a "perfect medium for flamewars"? (Re: Formal

There is a larger segment of developers who read or at least scan the forums than who post meaningfully in them. The forums are still a fair way for users to get noticed and a thread that gains traction will surely be noticed my some developers who will point it out to other devs who they think woul...

Re: Nerfing Darvish Lord range attack?

The hatchet has been changed to 10-1, so it will show up in the next development release. The Hammer of Thursagan , most other mainline campaigns and UMCs just got tougher :augh: I think you mean "hooray, more challenge!" ;) But seriously, the reason this was done is not that every change...

Re: Khalifate gameplay thread (feedback on balance and bugs)

As I explained in the thread you linked above, The reason these things are lacking is because there was no use for them anymore after the Khalifate were included in mainline. After they were removed from mainline there was a period of limbo resulting in no formal changelog being kept for a while and...

Re: Formal critique against Khalifate faction.

With respect HaChol, there are constructive ways to go about asking for change, and there are ways to virtually ensure strong resistance against any proposed change. Since you have unabashedly chosen the latter path I have no interest in posting any more here, but there is one last thing I wanted to...

Re: Nerfing Darvish Lord range attack?

Seems a good idea. We really don't pay much attention to the level 3 units as they don't get use use in regular competitive games. I'll ask around in #wesnoth-mp but I don't imagine any problem with a nerf. It is a mighty good unit.

Re: Formal critique against Khalifate faction.

I did not come up with the name - in fact this faction has gone through several transitions (including name changes). I believe it is trying to conjure up a historical theme without trying to be too technical (this is a fantasy game after all). We are also using Naphtha in the faction rather than an...

Re: Khalifate gameplay thread (feedback on balance and bugs)

Velensk: I would very much like to play some games but I'm busy today. The best chance of finding me free is to ping me on IRC, anyone is welcome to lurk in #wesnoth-khalifate. That said, I'll try to be on the development server more this week, as we need more testing of the development branch in ge...
