Re: Ubuntu packages
That does not make sense on debian packages: they are compressed.lwa wrote: You should run gzip or (better if common on debian) bzip2 on you tarfile to compress it.
Use "-9" option for smaller result.

hack saved file
Hi,
I have to finish game on a large map in 30 turns. As I need more time, I would like to hack the saved file to increase the number of turns I have. This used to be quite simple because the file were plain ascii files. How can I do this with the new binary files?

If I remember correctly, it was 25 units, then a leader. Yes, i finished this level (after some 50 kills) by killing a second leader. But the description says that you have to kill a leader after 25 units for the bonus, not to finish this level at all. Anyway, I have to replay this level. I lost mo...

A lot of "lost sync" errors
I am running my own wesnoth server but when I play with myself and another player, I get a lot of messages that say that the games are out of sync. After a few of them, the games are in a dead lock situation: both computers wait for eachother to end its turn. What can I do to prevent this situation?...

together with two elvish druids Quick ones? They'd better have been, or they'd move one hex/turn... Yes, they were quick. Now I only have 100 gold for the next level. I hope this will be enough. That's fine, the next scenario is quite easy. I suggest you go North, the south path is nasty especially...

Lots and lots of dwarves. I mean lots. High level mages to do the heavy lifting. Don't bother with elves and horsemen unless the elves are quick. Also healing support as was mentioned. I recruited lots of dwarves (12 fighters + 6 thunderers), together with two elvish druids (why aren't there any he...

(1) What difficulty levels have you played the scenario on? easy only (2) How difficult did you find the scenario? (1-10) 7. but mainly because I refused to flee and wanted to kill them all. (3) How clear did you find the scenario objectives? clear, but not very honourable (5) What were your major c...

you are fast! I was not aware of this ability. So this means that the number of attacks of the berserker and his opponents is not an absolute number, but just a ratio? For example: the berserker deals 4 blows, a troll 2, which means that when on of both dies, the berserker has attacked twice as much...
