We've tried having the host take control of side 3, as well as leaving it empty (it was mostly that) or giving it to AI. The outcome would vary from ending up with...

There is a new version of this scenario on the add-ons server now. In ITU 1.5 I have fixed the above bugs reported by GrandmasterLuke and TheChosenOne as well as a few others (there's also an extra shop selling armour now). Anything amiss, let me know.

Thanks gfgtdf - that's an amazingly quick turnaround for a bug report! I'm interested in your other solution (about using [campaign] rather than [multiplayer]) but I wasn't quite sure what you meant.

You guessed correctly about what's going on, except the part with heading toward a village. You have the Patrol Micro AI filter set to only include units that are not within 5 hexes of one of the other sides' units. There is no simple way to fix this problem, afaik the only way is to use scenario_generation=lua which involves a few lua lines, if you want i can help you with that. EDIT: actually nevermind, the scenario_generation=lua approach i had in mind requires wesnoth 1.15.3 or later, so yes i don't think ...

[*] Bug: Can't reload some missions from the very beginning after having been defeated. I tried to reload a rescue mission (the mission.tgz) file but it kept saying "defeated" while still changing up the units. I can reload from the auto-saves though. This is probably an issue in the game...
