Re: Why Luck Belongs in Wesnoth...a personal experience

I recomend you to take some gryphons or in case eagles and let them go before you, incredibly the fog dissapears...(and the eagles go whereever you like to) Unfortunately, I don't have enough money to buy one. I don't even have enough for a bat. What I should do is restart my life with fog turned o...

Re: Why Luck Belongs in Wesnoth...a personal experience

Well unfortunately, I often find myself one movement point short of getting into my house. And at times I have to ask my friends who ride bikes and cars and other mounts to scout ahead and find the grocery store for me.... Damn fog seems to just materialize out of nowhere. Pfft. That's nothing. I'v...

There are 2 Storm Tridents in the game! How can you not promote 2 Fighters, and of course a Mermaid Priestess...I also promoted the javelin guy to a netthrower.

Necromancer vs Lich

Why would anyone choose to upgrade a unit to a Necromancer? It seems like a much lamer unit than a Lich.

Re: The "How to play..." Series

But that's still good advice. Recently I have found that religiously pressing CTRL+V really helps (perhaps its obvious, but I didn't discover its usefulness until recently). I just learned about this recently. This is CRUCIAL to playing this game well. It really should be more clearly taught to the...

(3) How clear did you find the scenario objectives? Pretty clear. I wasn't confused. 8 (4) How clear and...

Re: Worst Trait/Unit Combinatons

In a long campaign, as with any other fighter, it's nice to have him levelling (with full heal and +3 HP each time) faster.

Re: A question about Necromancers...

A good necromancer... He knows when he's needed. He shows up when appropriate, as you lay on your deathbed, some crucial task unfinished...like rescuing your daughter from the clutches of some villain. He will change you to undead if you ask, and send you on your mission. You tell him exactly what c...

Re: Worst Trait/Unit Combinatons

I think Intelligent is good in two cases - 1: Major units early in a campaign and 2: For minor units later in the campaign.

What makes you restart?

In a long campaign like HttT, losing what units will make you restart? I used to restart on losing any Loyal unit, any unit level 2 or higher, or even any level 1's close to levelling. I've since cut that down to only Loyal units, and in some cases I might let them die too. I'm struggling with this ...
