Re: Ancient Mediterranean-Themed Units
With Furioso's help, some older stuff made it into a branch of the imperial era that, I believe, did get released to some version or another some time ago. I think they called it the Wild Era. This was most of the unit tree used: demos_948.png None of my newer stuff has made it into the game, as far...

Re: Ancient Mediterranean-Themed Units
Which legs do you mean: The horse's or the rider's? Is the issue the rider's leg being angled in too much? I can kinda see that as an issue now that you mention the legs. If there is something else you meant, let me know, but I'll try to work on swinging that leg out just a bit more.

Re: Ancient Mediterranean-Themed Units
I was quite attached to the overall look of the Hetairos as it matched well with the reference that had inspired it, but I decided to try some tweaks to seperate the level 2 and 3 units so I shifted the level 3's horse decoration down to the level 2 and added some scale armor to the level 3 horse. u...

Re: Art for Descendant of the dragon
These are quite an improvement from the older sprites in the first few pages, good job! Let me guess, Shogun 2 renewed a little inspiration in your project? :P A few of them are a little hard to read in the darker areas, but since most of the troublesome ones have TC shades there on their chests, pe...

Re: North Facing Loyalist bowman base frame
Couple super quick and messy edits just to illustrate a few things: Most of the edges of the body are round; in the locations circled red, you have more or less a straight line cutting off the neckline and ankles/legs. Giving these edges a curve gives the sprite the appearance of having depth and he...

Re: Ancient Mediterranean-Themed Units
I've tried to keep proportions very close to mainline loyalists where possible as these are also humans. The leg visible on the mounted unit is just the knee down and the belt on the infantry units lines up with the waists of the loyalist Royal Guard and Master Archer (the units posted above are all...

Re: Ancient Mediterranean-Themed Units
New units very close to completion, featuring new and hopefully final palettes for several materials, the primary one being the final metal palette. SW/SE Hypaspites SE Thureophoros SE Hetairos Excluding the need to rework old units with the new palettes (and my un-ending tweaking,) the faction is g...

Re: Goblin Spearman Run Cycle
I thought my blocking for the orc archer's run was looking pretty good but this puts it to shame. It looks like a great start.

Re: Open Sprite Animation Commission:
I'm interested in working on a unit's animations as well. At present, I'd prefer to work on the elven fighter or archer, if available, though I'm open to filling other needs. As a relative unknown, I will provide some links to previous work. I believe I am pretty good at spriting, but animating is l...

Re: Need artist for Steampunk TotalConversion, can pay...
I've seen the term steampunk used to describe a lot of different things, but I think I sorta get what you are after. To give me something to go on to try out, give men some info on a couple major classes or vocations and any personality quirks, equipment, etc they should have. For example, should ea...

What exactly are the details, roughly, of what you need? Are you aiming for a similar style as what's in mainline wesnoth?
Give me some details and some references and I'll see about helping you out a bit.

Re: Sprites o' Zilus
The reason it looks better without the shadow for the sword is darkening that area cancels out the highlights that were there before, helping define the light source. Perhaps try adding the shadow to the other side of the sword, behind it, but if that looks bad, just forget about it. The highlights ...

Re: Vranca´s era artwork
New palette looks good but i think it needs a small tweak or two. The shading on the old version looks a little better though it did need more contrast. I think the issue is the interaction with two of the shades. The kinda greenish-tan color and the slightly pinkish brown color make a pretty bold s...

Re: Ancient Mediterranean-Themed Units
The shading on the shield is amazing! Thank you :D I'm pleased with the way it turned out. I really like your last sprite, and i would say the purple is an improvement, but someone better then me would advise you better about this. But it does seem like you are using a lot of shades, and if i understa...

Re: Vranca´s era artwork
This helmet looks much improved from the last ones. There was something bothering me about the thickness/angle on the back, but I couldn't put it to words exactly. However, the face inside is kinda blurred along the helmets edge. Try adding some definition in there with some eyes and such! :) The sh...
