Re: Submerge any changes in the furture?
I would like to discuss if there are any changes planned to the submerge ability. IMHO it could be a really cool ability if it would work slightly different not only in "deep' water but in "normal" water too.(mind not shallow water). I can simply see no reason why a player should wal...

Well I imagine myself the dragonguard as the dwarwes with the BIGGEST guns ever made to carry around (they guarded dragons in the past  ) At the technical level: guns able to actually hit something with great precision this is a quite new development and somehow for me not part of the dwarf c...

I'm a noob, so correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't Thunderers great for taking out pesky trolls? Lots of hp, regenerates every turn, so you want to do a lot of damage on one turn. Enter the Thunderer. . . Rather right, even if the troll has 20% resistance to pierce, his loosy defence is a plus for ...

Re: Rank lists
Is there a list anywhere of the available ranks of each type of units in the mainline stories? I've wasted tons of xp on both my eastern invasion and HotT campaign on units that I thought should be able to rank more, and would like to avoid doing this again. (Mostly wondering about silver mages, Pa...

he next mission (old friend) is VERY easy [...] Maybe the mission goals could be set to at least defeat one or two of the orcish leaders. That way it would be much more challenging and closer to how it was meant to be, I believe. Did you defeat one of them ? the result is ... pretty nasty  Bu...

The 2nd try on that level went much better: I only lost a handful of units and now have some 10+ dwarven lords on my recall list. Has anyone else experienced bugs with the lvl3 poacher (ranger) ? It seems noone is allowed to defend when he attacks... Yes : the .cfg files for lvl3 outlaws are bad fo...

Is it possible at all to 'clean up' this level or is holding off the enemy while freeing the prisoners and then making a run for the water the only viable strategy ? The goal is to clean up the level : - First free the prisoners in the south-west tunel - then with dwarven lords (or steelclads if yo...

There already are snow and mountain villages in mainline. There are also hill, swamp, cave and desert villages. Only forest villages are lacking from the terain type based villages and that should be fixed. There is a similar thread to this one in the ideas forum... Sorry then, I must have missed t...

Re: Infested caves translation bug
Yes, I am.Taurus wrote:I think you are using the version 1.12.* right? Because in 1.13 I redid that whole map to kind of ballance it out a bit.
The only painfull thing is that a turn take 1/4 for the IA ... at turn 4
I can't imagine wat it will be in a few turns

Speaking of mixed terrains (like snowy forest and water villages), the current game mechanic is best defense worst movement, isn't it ? (I'm not sure) So I think we could have others terrain mix for villages : mountain villages, and snowy village (a village covered by snow is no more easy to pass by...

Re: Northern Rebirth
Anybody beat this scenario? How much gold did you have when you did? I found this scenario easier than the second one (" Infested caves ") thanks to the wolves scenario, you should have enough gold to recall your lvl2 bandits and hire a lot of dwarves (dwarves are the best here : more mov...

Re: Infested caves translation bug
Also, version 1.13.1 is up on the server. It includes new portratis (well, the old ones except they have color now), numerous bug fixes and some more ballancing. If I have time I'll retry it to see :D I'm in the last scenario and I just noticed that the poor drake are given a very bad situation : t...

Hmmm, didn't think of giving the Rod of Justice to the wrath. That is pretty smart. But yeah, I'll take you up on adding that event, thanks. I am glad you seem to be having fun :-) That wasn't my first idea either (I first though about giving it to Tailin or a Dwarven Lord) And yeah, what I ...
