Doros made some good points. Yes it is reasonable to expect users playing the game to have the same version. There is now point in having new versions if they have to remain 100% compatible including bug fixes. I would agree about having the self-patching code. Your point about the supplementary fil...

I think it is a case of it will grow more popular as time goes on. Releasing a certain OS a week or more after another won't cause users of that OS to abandon it (or there wouldn't be any Mac users at all ;) ). I also think it is worth remembering (as already stated) that single player is a popular ...

Easy way to get there on a Mac...

1) Switch to windowed mode

2) Choose "Reveal Preferences Folder in Finder" this will open up your preferences, with the data folder clearly visible.

Sanna is right... it is built into the main program, but is accessible via the menu bar. As the menu bar is only visible in windowed mode, you will need to be in windowed mode to launch the editor. Since the editor is itself a window, this does make sense :) Still, I suppose it could have been even ...

Or a sticky to that effect :D

Ah... the relief of "Windows" not "MacOSX" in that quote :)

Can we have a sticky in the tech support forum about whatever is wrong with the mac campaign editor? I mean, saying you should search the forum is fine, but obviously not everyone will. However, if it is a sticky in tech, perhaps they will just read it (since these posts are usually in tech). I'm n...

Re: Editor Crashes on Startup (Mac)

What does "Battle for Wesnoth Editor" do? ... I read the scenario editor readme, and it mentioned editting maps... are these two editors somehow intertwined or something? There are two current versions of editors. One is a map editor which is the Official editor. This is an SDL applicatio...

Hmm... what logo do other platforms use, then? I know the MacOS logo is propably the hardest, as it has to be good-looking when small and big. I mean, not too complicated to be small and not too simple to look stupid when big. Last time I checked the other platforms out the logo was a small one whi...

Only one question: Why do the game and the map editor still use old images (icons, whatever you call them) even though the images in HttT were updated? If you mean the MacOS X version the reason is simple. Combine all those calls for a MacOS X build immediately with the possibility that someone had...

I currently run the game with a commandline wesnoth --fps -d --log-error="all" --log-warning="all" --log-info="all" > /tmp/wesnoth.log.$$ 2>&1 and would find it important that I could do something similar once I move over to a Mac. The heavy duty logging and saving...
