Re: Woodmouse's sprites

Quite good, I think. But you have left the left (his right) """horn""" immobile.

Neither me. Maybe should make more contrast to be more noticeable, yet equally unobtrusive?

Re: A rough life - portraits

A lot better. The hammer has more defined shape, and seems more balanced. Also, the "stick" is more perpendicular. The only thing is that I don't know if it's nice to make the viewer imagine that stone the hammer is resting on.

Good work!

Re: Art for Classical era - Critique welcome!

The boots are the best looking part of the sprites. The rest is washed out, so I think you do need outlining.

You can try zooming into a mainline sprite to get a hint about outlining.

Kidding me? Your sprites are cool. I have a lot of interest in the era. I'd like to make a campaign based on it if I had the time

Re: Art for Descendant of the dragon

I find it very good. If anything, I'd antilalias the bottom part of the staff.

Re: Pointer for Multiplayer

A problem with labels in this purpose is that they don't appear in minimap.

I have seen those features on RTS. Fortunately, time is not as crucial in turns based. Although, it would be nice to have marks on minimap.

Re: Random 'reverse alignment' units

Doesn't seem truly evil if that is what you wanted to do. Only pale. All IMO: the grey should be darker, and they should have more colour. The "staffs" could be golden or red, or at least shinyer. Maybe the Mage of Darkness could have red hair. And some more colour on the shoulder armour (...

Re: Art for Descendant of the dragon

Few people fits better in the concept than the old master . Maybe Master Kong could also fit as "civilization helper", although not a hermit at all. Look at pictures and maybe you get inspiration from their clothes, hairstyle, beard and such. For soldieres, I suggest looking at the Terraco...

It's hot enough under a chain mail, so I think it's ok to refresh the legs.

Re: Dragon Sprite Request

A tail attack would look weird IMO. It would require the dragon to turn back to attack, and I don't think this can do it in an agile way. Why not a claw attack? It could use some frames from the breathing.

Re: Insane Hermit (Artwork Thread)

I'm sorry, but it doesn't seem better to me. I think it should have more pale tones, near white. I recommend you to look at ice statues examples, both real and fictional, to get a better idea. The real example is unachievable, as all you see are deformations of the bakcground, but it gives you an id...

Re: Insane Hermit (Artrwork Thread)

I find them quite cool, but the ice warrior seems like energy warrior to me. It does not give the impression of ice, first for the colour and second for the flames.

Re: A rough life - portraits

Rework it, as it also is strange from perspective. The hold is not perpendicular to the head. It seems a box with a lever to me.

And it seems he's right! http://firewalker.kamusilmiah.com/photo ... n-windows/

Basically, in the newer version they moved the GIF animations feature to Fireworks. Why working with one program when you can do it with two?
