I, for one, think you should research the battle of Thermopylae a bit more before writing a campaign based on it. There were probably about 7000 Greeks all told, and there were no Romans at all! Herodotus is a good place to start.

Re: Priorities

Glad to see someone's going to take up the banner as it were. I found "Into the Depths" to be confusing, and ultimatly not completeable. ...That scenario needs to be completely reworked or replaced IMO. Into the Depths is a travesty. It was originally going to branch out into a longer digr...

Well done. The real two questions are what type of "cum" clause is that sentence, and why is sint subjunctive?

For some reason it appears that the whole recall list disappears between Into the Depths and Vengeance. Odd. I can't see anything in the WML that would do that.

I'm returning from my hiatus to look at this and get it fixed. More to come.

I'd add that I consider the ending (especially of the elf branch) weak, and sometime when school abates a bit I indend to rework it.

About TSG, I have only two words: BAD CAMPAIGN . Sorry, but IMO you'd be better off playing something else. I'm curious as to whether the bad campaign thought applies to just Into the Depths (which I'd agree with and am trying to fix) or the whole campaign? If the whole campaign, I'm curious as to ...

Also, use ranged attacks against skeletons. Careful use of your newfound white mage will decimate the undead as well.

Time of day is hugely important.

Roman politics was very much a "good ol' boys" network. If Gaius has influential friends back in Lavinium, he'd be fine, win or lose. Unless his defeat is so miserable that those friends would cease to be so.

Also, looking for some historical information: How would a Legion commander who was defeated in battle be treated when he returned to Rome? It depends on the circumstances and time frame. I think it's important to distinguish battles and campaigns here, as well. Very rarely did a Roman commander ac...

turin, Looks like a good start to the campaign - you've hit the Roman army's tension between reckless attacking and discipline well in the first scenario. Mr. Picky would suggest that in the difficulty ratings Consul is a higher rank than Legatus. You might want something like: centurion (easy), tri...
