Re: What is the least challenging campaign you ever played?

Liberty was intended to be not challenging. The original idea was to test out the new tools for creating campaigns, make up a fun story, and (most importantly) think up new types of scenario twists.

Re: Scenario Review: Liberty 8 - Glory

It took a long time to dial back the difficulty just enough to avoid the whole thing becoming an unwinnable cluttered morass, so it was supposed to have a slight easy bias, but not too much so. I wonder if this scenario fell out of balance over time with changes to the default behavior of the AI or ...

Re: Hardest campaign/scenario on wesnoth?

The only campaign I have never been able to complete is Northern Rebirth, so I think that's the hardest. It's not for lack of trying, although it has been a while. Maybe I'll fire it up again.

Re: Scenario Review: (HttT) The Sceptre of Fire

That's an interesting critique. The original intention was to add a way to have Delfador home in on the location if you let him rest to help you overcome the lack of mobility. The problem is that you have no knowledge of randomly placed items once placed. One remedy for this is putting it in the sam...

Re: Scenario Review: Northern Winter

I always hated the fact that the change to terrain movement had a huge effect on this scenario. It used to be snowy woods didn't act like snow for movement - it acted like woods. If you could replace some of the border snowy forest with regular forest and not have the map look weird, it might be les...

Re: Scenario Review: (HTTT) Battle for Wesnoth

It might be good to have some dialog by any clan leaders you have the 1. announce their presence and 2. state that their knights are battling orcs off your flank, on some other imaginary map somewhere. That way you get the illusion of an all-out pitched war without messing up the main tactical battl...

Re: Scenario Review: Httt - Hasty Alliance

I would get rid of the lava. In retrospect, it might also look better to have more vertical paths to create a narrower-looking, linear map rather than a roundish map with fat roundish chambers. It should still play the same.

Re: Campaign: The Rise of Wesnoth

Hi! Not sure if it's already been pointed out, but I just noticed what is apparently a small mistake in the dialogue of Return to Oldwood interlude. The tree guy says: "You have indeed shown yourself a tree-friend, I would there were more I could do to help you", which doesn't seem to mak...

Allow campaigns to define badges similar to those you find on wikipedia . This is a basic example, because the variations are endless . There is a set of simple parameters you use to define these nifty little boxes, mainly text, text color, background color, and image. "This player has complete...

Hello again. Sorry, it's not. I look in from time to time, and I'm glad to see that things are moving along well. I just couldn't resist this thread.

Too true. I can't claim to have written the ending, but I did inject a heavy dose of cheese.

Why aren't all of these guys out writing campaigns?? I really like the one involving Baldras.

Goodbye, citizens of the Wesnoth forum

Like others have in the past, I am starting a new phase in my life that will make it impossible for me to continue contributing and visiting the forum on a regular basis. This is the last day of my graduate program at my school, and now my employer wants to get me back to work. I enjoyed having an o...

Yes. If your birthday is close to the cutoff date (1 Dec on the East coast and 1 Sep elsewhere, generally) then you will have started your first year of college before turning 18.
