Agreed. But we can probably remove/reserve enough obvious names so that a non-gullible target won't suffer any confusion from this style of prank.

Re: Status of Loyalist Baseframes

I believe it's just to more easily distinguish the three levels. :eng: Actually, it's because the original Iron Mauler was arrived at based upon a heavily modified Orcish Warrior frankensteined with the Shock Trooper and then finally reworked by fmunoz; the hammer was originally stolen from the tro...

Re: Random or Pseudorandom?

The thread is about the mathematical basis of wesnoth's RNG (as Jetrel stated), and we do not need to even begin a discussion regarding wesnoth and more deterministic RNG here. I should note that for anyone who is interested in discussing a more deterministic RNG, this kind of discussion is welcome...

Re: Campaign art - Sceptre of Fire

For those who are too young to remember, let me post a reminder of LordBob's first Wesnoth portrait:

That peasant was good. Mr-Not-Alanin is incredible.

Re: LordBob's random stuff : trolls !

But after some experimenting I've got the impression that paint-filled carvings make the coloured lines more important than the carvings themselves easily - what do you think? I think that looks incredibly cool - a truly fresh interpretation on body markings. But then, I suspect you were asking Lor...

I'm moving this topic to Technical Support, where the helpful tech-savvy types hang out. I suspect that they'll need some more information, however. Most critically - what operating system are you using?

Re: Is there a spanish community in Wesnoth?

You could try going onto the multiplayer server and asking in the lobby occasionally if there was any spanish players around. Ofc not spamming it. You could also make games only for spanish. You would have to write that on the titles though. for example. Cookies game for spanish players only Anothe...

Re: Ancient Lich Development

Inspired by the discussion in the NR Portraits thread - a lich using the obvious material to add curves. I picture all the heads having spines, so she looks like a hydra when fighting. (This is an overpaint of Valkier's art.) Given the size of those additional skulls relative to the "main skul...

Don't have a scanner anymore, so sorry no sketches. Oh yes, and of course you need a scanner to draw anything. Do you have a camera? Do you have Paint on your computer? Can you be bothered to get GIMP ? If you can say 'yes' to any of those, you can still sketch, be it by hand or by computer....

Re: Happy Birthday WIF

Happy birthday indeed! One of Wesnoth's strengths has always been the incredibly diverse mix of nationalities it attracts. While language barriers can sometimes prove challenging, there's something incredibly satisfying about jumping online and ending up in a match with two Americans, a Kiwi, a Brit...

Re: Osama Bin Laden is Dead

"No Americans were harmed, and we took care to avoid civilian casualties." Why can't he also say that no civilians were harmed? Does that mean some were harmed and we'll hear about it years from now through Wikileaks? Also are there times when the United States military is not taking care...
