Re: Wesnoth Inc Board Members -- Request for Nominations
I'd like to nominate Vultraz, Pentarctagon, shadowm, Dave, and Soliton.
I'd like to also extend an honorary nomination to doofus-01, despite them already declining.

Re: New animations
They're minor enough that they're not something that should stop this from going in.Vyncyn wrote:Finished the animation. I can see some issues with shoulders and breastplate, so if they are too dominant, I could try to fix them.
I really appreciate you doing this this really looks awesome.

Thanks for doing this.aquileia wrote:As for what to do next, I'd have a humble reqest - Jetrel posted a ne-run for the lancer, but the cloth wasn't shaded. Would you do that? I attached the extracted frames of his gif for convenience.

Re: New animations
That looks really nice - I think you might want to have that rear knee bend a lot more, and a good deal sooner - i.e. he should probably be pivoting onto the ball of his foot.
Broadly speaking, though, this looks great, and we really appreciate your efforts.

Re: abandoned mainline sprites/animations
I was reading some of the topis in Art Development and noticed a lot of sprites and animations were left unfinished. Last updates for many were around 2010-2011. Are there any particular reasons why they were discontinued (eg. Development said no)? They weren't stopped for any particular reason oth...

Re: Lovecraft's Deep Ones (New here)
:D That looks really impressive. I don't know what your plans are, but lovecraftian "bog men" are something that would be a great resource to a lot of different campaigns/umc. If you did a whole set, that'd be rad - if it's just one, it'd still be very useful. So I'd definitely take my hat...

Re: Heavy Infantryman Line Animations
This is probably safe to go in - the only thing we'll want added(?) is the typical motion-blur/swoosh on a couple key attack frames; I'm not sure if I can't see it because of the gif-on-white-bg or if it just hasn't been added yet.
Thanks for doing this.

Re: Mainline campaign sprites and animations needed
As requested on #wesnoth-dev, I committed the latest edits . Doesn't mean they need to be considered final or anything. So, is Jetrel still working on this, or should I? I was glad to discover that he is still working on some things, like the elf sprites (desert and wood), but I don't know what els...

Re: Anyone remembers old artstyle?
I completely agree with zookeeper. Our old art style was not unique - it was painfully generic, "seen it all before" anime/fantasy junk. The sort of thing teenagers pump out tons of over on deviantart, and also the sort of thing that only appeals to, well ... teenagers. The problem with th...

Re: Donating to Battle for Wesnoth
I think I "wrote in anger" on my last post, so rather than redacting it and pretending it didn't happen, I'd like to offer a softer side of the same coin. Cheers, I know the feeling. And thank you for following up. You're a particular person I had in mind as a shining example. :D c...

I think I "wrote in anger" on my last post, so rather than redacting it and pretending it didn't happen, I'd like to offer a softer side of the same coin. I'm pretty burned out, here, and part of my burnout comes from how much I care about all the people who do contribute seriously to this...

Re: Donating to Battle for Wesnoth
You might also want to read what they write about Wesnoth here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frogatto_%26_Friends Appears that Jetrel, shadowm, marcavis, and others have edited it at various points. In contrast to their previous project, The Battle for Wesnoth, the Frogatto team did development as...
