Re: Crin of Crenlyn

" I defeated General Kolter." I never thought anyone would try. I hate good players. Time to put in a victory event, or more guards. Same. Can't find the version so don't know if it's the same. Note: Players don't need to be good, just playing a difficulty below their ability. Wanted to s...

Re: Portrait - Akashia (A Song of Fire)

Thank you for this feedback. First of all, thank you again for the contribution! I liked the way you've drawn her physical appearance: as a Heretic (later a Warmonger), it's quite fitting that she's sturdier than the average woman - and her serious, almost hostile expression also fits Akashia very w...

Portrait - Akashia (A Song of Fire)

Hi, Here is a sketch for a portrait of the character Akashia (F25) I am working on for the UMC campaign A Song of Fire. I am interested in any constructive feedback, particularly hints on adding wear to her outfit, before I ink and colour. While this is a black and white sketch, the character is sup...

Re: How Wussel draws ships

If you haven't already seen it, give Krita a try. It's more drawing oriented than GIMP.

Re: Portrait requirements

I'm aware that portraits have a transparent background, but they get composited onto something. That something is a background. Are the backgrounds the same each time? Are they a solid color? Is there a template?
Thanks

Re: Portrait requirements - background?

Not so much a requirement, but a design question - is there a background template that will show me what the portrait will look like when it's displayed? Is it just black?

Portrait requirements

Hi I'm going to try my hand at a portrait for some UMC. The post about portrait requirements ( https://forums.wesnoth.org/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=24555 ) suggests 400x400px. Is this recommendation still current? Is there anything more current/other requirements I should be aware of? I know about htt...

Re: Lordbob's commissionned work: UtBS

All these portraits look great. That campaign was badly in need of an art refresh.
My first impression of the shaman was that her head was a little too large?
Also, her breasts seem to be slanting up to the right a little too much. Is her right hip a little high as well?
Well done

Looking to do a portrait

Hi I expect to have some time from July 2015 and am looking to do a portrait for a Wesnoth character. What I'm looking for: * character portrait to do * feedback on work * someone to bug me to finish What I promise (to make a serious effort) to do: * finish a portrait in Wesnoth style. * create a ch...

Save File Viewer/Editor

Hi
I was wondering if there are any utilities dedicated to viewing/editing Wesnoth save files. Do people just use a text editor with markup for WML? Is there some eclipse plugin that I can't find?
If not, would anyone find such an application useful?
Thanks

My GIMP Interface script - (Perspective lines!)

If anyone is interested I have written a script for the GIMP which automates some of the things I found I was doing when working on Wesnoth portrait(s). The script: 1. - can automatically draw perspective guide lines for up to 3 vanishing points over an existing canvas (including with vanishing poin...

Re: After the Storm 0.9.5 [Wesnoth 1.10.x/1.11.5] (complete!

In AtS3 Outpost of Hell Bardyl packs up his bags and leaves when there are more pillars than bombs (stating that he can't blow up the pillars now). But killing all the enemy leaders is an alternative victory condition so bombs v pillars is irrelevant. The player shouldn't be defeated until end of tu...
