Re: Bye bye Windows
-The complete ubuntu family is generally much more unstable than Debian. And Debian is mostly made up of ancient, outdated software. The worst thing about them is that Debian's update model doesn't work for every package's release model . The KDE 4.x series for instance has seen a marked reduction ...

Re: Ageless Era - Current Version: 4.10
Found a bug. It could be SX interfering, but this was before we picked class and weapons abilities and so on.

Re: Ageless Era - Current Version: 4.10
Does anyone have a list of the most powerful units? My group has recently started playing SX RPG with Ageless Era, but only one person is very familiar with it and he is not always around. It would be great if anyone could tell me what the best units are in Ageless RPG Era.

Re: Games discussion
Team Fortress 2 - FPS No! Really, how can people play this game is beyond my imagination. When it went "free" I thought I'd give it a try, and I got killed by a guy who BOUGHT a better (read: op) weapon and after dying I had to watch a damn ad of that weapon. "N00bkilzor killed you w...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles (chapter 9 is out)
Got it! The error is: <Invalid WML> Descriptions should no longer include the name as the first line (2) It came up after a unit levelled up automatically - i.e. it required no input from me as there was only one direction in which to level up. This unit was carrying no items. Sorry for my terrible ...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles (chapter 9 is out)
The 'Paradise Lost' scenario is absolutely primitive code-wise (it was the 4th scenario ever wrote), there is just some code executed when you start the scenario, when you defeat the enemies, and if you lose. It is probably related to the items' system, but in that case I have no idea what might be...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles (chapter 9 is out)
I get a WML error on the 4th scenario, 'Paradise Lost'. Description cannot fit one line or something like that. What? Description cannot fit one line? I have never seen anything like that. Which wesnoth version were you using? Can you send me a save file? The version is 1.11.2 used, which is the la...

Re: Legend of the Invincibles (chapter 9 is out)
Right, just started playing this awesome campaign series (which should totally be mainlined, just sayin') and have a few suggestions. I've played up to scenario 4 so far. I think 'it's best if I assassinate him' sounds a bit off. 'Get him out of the way' or 'punish him' or something along those line...

Re: Wesnoth 1.11.1
I love all the work the BfW project is putting out, but there comes a time when you must stop breaking the APIs for content developers. While things like inline SSF make WML more 'predictable', it is a pain in the ass for anyone used to older, more carefree WML. I really hope that you'll make all th...

Re: Games discussion
I've only played about five minutes of Minecraft, and it will stay that way since now I can defend Notch online without being called a notch/minecraft fanboy. Don't you mean attack Notch? I've done the same. Unbearably boring game. I just can't do games where you are dropped in a massive sandbox an...

Re: Temples of the nagas -version 1.26.1
Version 1.26.1 -- a bugfix release! I have reverted the sides back to the old after you and jb (in a PM) pointed out the problems of the switch. As for a second version, I don't think anyone would play it (more than one TOTN would be confusing) and besides, it's against the TOTN philosophy. While p...

Re: Temples of the nagas -version 1.25 (NEW MAINTAINER!)
Err I didn't clearly state it--it's not an ability, it's the default. When a unit has a special item (it's just that most of them happen to be berserker items), the other unit doesn't retaliate. The same goes for any Boss units. I'd like more people to weight in on this. I'll hopefully have the pick...

Re: Temples of the nagas - version 1.26
Sorry for the week's delay! Changes in version 1.26: Fairly extensive code cleanup (though I have yet to remove tags to be obsoleted in 1.11). Should have slightly lower processing overhead now. Human player sides are now 1, 2, 3 and 4,instead of 2, 3, 4 and 5. This will no longer put your OC...

Re: Temples of the nagas -version 1.25 (NEW MAINTAINER!)
Thanks--I'll add the code and test it and look at it over the weekend and then edit this post. I'm skeptical of code you can just "drop in" but this seems pretty good, and I'll at least test it. Thank you very much for the upload of the replay as well. Both will be checked. Also, we don't ...
