Re: World Conquest NM
Is this basically the same as the WC where you pick between heroic units, upgrades, gold and items in the beginning, then play 6 rounds vs an increasing # of AI players? I've been trying to find it on the add on server and it doesn't seem like it's there anymore, where can I find it? Edit: Never min...

Re: Dwarvish guardsmen (in 1 vs 1)
It seems a like a lot better unit when are trying to attack it rather than when you are using it. Let someone waste a turn attacking it then attack them when they are -25%. Throw it out in front when the enemy is advancing to delay the time between when they become weak again, if they fail then you ...

Re: Ageless Era - Current Version: 4.7
Ah, I see some people take criticism well. I'm just saying the standards appear to be low, it's my opinion, I'm not obligating anyone to do anything, but figured maybe some might appreciate outside feedback.

Re: Ageless Era - Current Version: 4.7
Just so you know, I would fully back getting rid of all the incomplete factions in ageless era. I like some of the ones that are well done, but all those units slow down certain parts of the game (particularly the unit profiles) and some of their artwork is just plain horrible and I hate looking at ...

Re: Vranca´s era artwork
Thanks for the feedback everyone. I will have some free time to work on it tonight or tomorrow sometime, hopefully I can get it looking a lot better this time.

Re: Vranca´s era artwork
Heres my progress so far, I worked more on getting him looking in the right direction than I did reducing the number of shades used.. but still cleaned up a few of them on his yellow tunic. Now that I look at it again it looks like his shield and arm need to come back up a pixel, was an attempt at m...

Re: Vranca´s era artwork
I used a bunch of different shades here and there, should I reduce the number of shades of colors in the sprite? I am also somewhat colorblind so just let me know when color issues happen . Do you think I should darken the borders more as well?

Re: Vranca´s sprites
Hows this for a start? Any tips on how I can make it look better and make proper shadows are appreciated. I lined the shoulders and waist up with the loyalist spearman somewhat so his stance is pretty similar, but does he look too small? do I need to make him taller? The magenta (i think thats the c...

Re: Vranca´s sprites
Yea I would like to help if can, I like the idea of a spartan faction. I always loved playing the lavanians in the imperial era and they are based on the roman empire I believe. I only just recently started playing with The GIMP (lol funny every time), so I'm not some amazing graphical artist, but I...

Re: Vranca´s sprites
Im nobody important, but I like it because an attack animation could be nicely crafted with that sprite, pretty much holding true to the way you would imagine a spartan hoplite fighting with the way their body would be positioned relative to the spear and shield. The legs also look less "active...

Re: Can I Change Lobby Update Frequency?
I would second any option to change the update frequency, if I use the filter it hangs every few seconds seemingly because its updating the game list. I don't know if this may be related or not.

Re: How do you use Fencer ?
Also, because of the nature of using them to finish things surviving fencers sometimes get fairly close to leveling before other units, if you can get one within 8xp of a level protect it well. If it has the opportunity to skirmish-kill something again it will produce a massive advantage for you, en...

Re: How do you use Fencer ?
I don't use them as much as I would use something like a spearman, maybe only recruiting one or possibly none of them on a small map. Like was said before they are best used when you have to finish off wounded units the enemy is trying to retreat behind their lines, this makes them vulnerable, but t...

Don't forget the "stand one hex away and mock them" approach for terrain specialists, aka the chicken dance.

Re: Easy Strategy that always wins: using the Elvish Sylph
HttT on medium is the only campaign I have ever played, and I only got about half way through it before I started playing exclusively on the server. In that campaign I had one sylph, which is the only sylph I have ever personally controlled, but yea your right, it pretty much did mop up anything tha...
