Re: Problems with Gold and the Leveling System in BfW?

yeah i actually dont see a problem with all this. i think having played a game for one week or so doesnt not give you the right complaining about its balance or imbalance or beeing too difficult. i think you need to get used to it first by playing various campaigns and scenarios. normally when u sta...

Re: Problems with Gold and the Leveling System in BfW?

thinking about it i had an idea. experienced troops cost 3 gold (or 2) per round. thats okay, they demand a higher wage than newbies. but why do they cost 20 gold to recall, while a normal elvish swordsman cost 14. i think a new recruit needs proper training, weapons and armour, or a horse. that wou...

Re: campaign order

ah yeah, i dont know if it was luck. i tried several times from round one. at that point i relied heavily on lvl 2 and 3 elven archers but trained to woodmen. they have 70% defense in forest plus the druid healing behind, plus delfador trying to snipe a ghost once in a while with his mighty lightnin...

hi im totally new to wesnoth but im a competitive strategy gamer for a long time. the most important point is: keeping your units alive is part of the strategy!!!!!! if your units die, it is because your strategy failed. it is really just that simple. believe me. it does not matter how much luck the...

Re: New user feedback/questions

i wondered about this exact thing aswell. but after the first mission completed i had figured out how it works and now i think its okay. i think, wenn i click a unit i want to know first: how much damage does he deal. so dmg is the first number lets say: 5 ... so there is a second number... 2 ... ah...

Re: campaign order

campaign order

hi again starting to play the mainline campaigns i wondered if there is any order or chronology in them. from top to bottom there seem to be no particular order. but to get into the story it might be cool to know which campaign happened first. well actually it is not so important because even when i...

Re: thanks for making wesnoth!

Re: Unit size

yeah, i remember dark dragon from shining force 1, he was like a "building" in the engine and had three different one-square attackable "heads" which did not move. this would work with the engine. the movement of a 3 hex dragon however could be no problem if he is flying, also hi...

Unit size

hey i just saw that dragon from pixelmind and the discussion about its size. i thought the dragon looked really cool in its HUGE version. because that is what a dragon is compared to units like dwarfs right? so my question is. have you ever considered a unit occupying like 3 hexes at once, like a tr...

hey folks! a couple of days ago i downloaded wesnoth. i didnt expect anything special. i was just a little bored and checked out the strategy section of abandonia reloaded. that very night i kept on playing the game until dawn (which is pretty late since its winter here). i just wanted to thank ever...
