Re: Draw thy sword

That last comic from Flameslash was not bad. Stick figure comics can work as long as it is clever or well written. For example, The Order of the Stick is a great one.

Keep up the great work.

Re: Outsider Art for Bad Moon Rising

It's been fun to watch how your portrait skills have grown over the years. This looks great. The only thing that stuck out to me was she does not seem to be holding the arrow. It looks like it is just resting on her hand somehow. If it is meant to go between her fingers I don't read it that way, pro...

Re: LordBob's commissionned work

:augh: I bet LordBob is getting sick and tired of everybody nitpicking, especially things that can be explained by the rule of cool.
I think this is fantastic and can't wait to see the final version.

Perhaps at this point only real art people (with titles) should crit this piece any more.

Re: Imperial Era Art Project (Sprite Artists Wanted!)

The lower body seems to be facing us, but the upper body is twisted to our right. Not sure if that was your intention. There's something not quite right about his right arm (our left). Maybe the elbow is too far down, or the upper part of it is too skinny. Overall it looks pretty good, and way bette...

According to IMDb, it's dated 1997, but was released in 1999. So you are both right.

Re: Malin Keshar

Oh a impact melee attack? I never believe I said he had one... :hmm: @Zoomo: Since when does Malin have a melee impact attack? @lord-knightmare: since forever? Although you phrased it as a question, one may think you were saying he always had one. I haven't played DiD in a long time, so I...

Re: Malin Keshar

Looking good. I think it could use a little more power, however. Look how Sleepwalker improved on an Amorphous animation by making the whole body move.
Doing that here will show more power, I think.

Re: Lighting?

in the wiki I found this: Light comes from the artist's (not the unit's!) upper right (for shading and highlights) No idea whether that’s official or not, though, but that seems to be what I have been unconsciously using (or trying to use) all these years. Keep in mind that this is the general guid...

Re: Amorphous's Pixel Art

The motion blur is better. The hair could still use more movement, imho.
It's certainly improving, keep at it.

I think what the idle animation is doing is obvious. You should move ahead with it.

Looking good. The only thing I would add is to change the shape of the shadow as he squats down. It seems too static.

Re: "new" unit idea: golem

Sounds cool. If you had a snow or water based one, the attack could be a cold attack.

Just out of curiosity, did you make that sprite or get it from somewhere. It looks really good.

I don't know much about american constitution, but I believe that changing it is hard even when compared to constitutions of other countries, which is probably the reason they still use this ystem (someone from the USA may corect me). Nope, you are right. It is intentionally hard to change. The met...

Just because your vote will not change the outcome of your state's choice of President doesn't mean you shouldn't vote. I live in Utah, which always votes for the Republican for President. However, there are a lot of contested races for which I voted today. We have a senator that has been in for dec...

My version is 1.10.0, difficulty nightmare
:lol2:
Just saying.
You also said you beat it without save/loading one turn before the limit. Sure you needed a little luck, but on nightmare difficulty, it sounds like it might be just fine.
