Re: I cant move my skirmisher as I want
@jmegner: you know that you can already move unit with drag&drop right? Maybe we will replace this normal move action by a path drawing, but not very nice for users liking drag&drop for normal moves, so a key or an option will probably still be needed. I am aware. I was mostly just giving a...

Re: Backing up a turn
...For me the point of the game is to level up my kewl guys... I do notice that all the save-load-save-load-save-load makes Wesnoth a much longer game for me. All that repeating of turns to find the best tactic. Hey, AIs do it, just a lot faster than I do it. Why shouldn't I? I'm not going to sit a...

Re: I cant move my skirmisher as I want
The other thread about this pathfinding problem and ambush: http://www.wesnoth.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=26582 Where I explain why it's currently like that. And indeed, in that case, annoying. Need to be changed. Thanks for the very informative post on path-making rational. I really like that the d...

Re: Stats page
Most of the stats page is fairly obvious, but the "inflicted" and "taken" stats aren't completely clear to me. Is the denominator the expected amount of damage? The median amount of damage? Something else? The denominator is the expected value of damage. Let's say that in a turn...

Re: New Maps and AI Practice
It was multiplayer so I didn't want to spend forever on my first turn simply counting hexes (Zzz), but it lead to a completely botched BO. You might want to practice your initial recruit on a map a few times and write down some variations that work well. I usually play loyalist and my friends like ...

Re: Levelling up during opponent's turn: No choices?
Yes, I'd say the rule is you get to choose advancement during opponent's turn if all human players in the game are using one computer.Soliton wrote:In a local game you own all sides. It's the same in an online game where you're the only player.

During local games where a human plays a human, you get to choose your advancement during an opponent's turn.JW wrote:No required player input on turns that are not their own.

Re: Bats: Flying Wonders?
defense and resistances (besides arcane) aren't changed. the unit description only shows the stats of the standard WC. but if you move your mouse over units hps you should see the real resistances... Defenses and resistances certainly change with WC ents. ... I think if a WC doesn't have a differen...

Re: Bats: Flying Wonders?
The developers intended for unit descriptions to be inaccurate? I can understand that if the decision was, "we will have the unit descriptions be inaccurate because the work required to make them accurate is not worth it". If so, I might make a patch. Current descriptions are for unit typ...

Re: Bats: Flying Wonders?
No. It's more of an easter egg. It's an intended feature, it's just a simple matter that the unit descriptions don't currently cater for WC unit variants. And making them do so would make the unit descriptions ridiculously long. The developers intended for unit descriptions to be inaccurate? I can ...

Re: Bats: Flying Wonders?
I decided to test this out on Wesnoth 1.6. I killed a drake fighter, clasher, and burner with soulesses. All drake undead had 0% fire resistance. I also killed a dwarven fighter and ulfserker, and they had 60% defense on mountains, just like normal walking corpses. Seems like walking corpses only d...

Also dwarf-corpses get 70% on mountains, I was playing a knalgans and lost one of my ulferserkers to a WC, and rooting that zombie dwarf off my mountain was amazing difficult :? And drake zombies get 50% fire resistance... That's an unpleasant surprise for someone planning to burn one :lol2: I deci...
