Re: Galactic Empires (MP Sci-fi Scenario)

I put these here for GE players who need a visual reference/differentation of all the faction units. (doesn't include pirates, aliens, or "dwarthans") Furthermore for the future, I hope changes are made for the better. :) some issues, as said before: *Simplify technology tree, so players d...

Re: Loyalists are loyal to whom?

And for the goblin one, I think Goblin contradicts man, and putting "Goblin SpearGoblin" would be redundant, and "Spear Goblin" would sound silly. There are always solutions for that. I'm pretty sure the word Spearman can be changed to fit a non-Human-type Spear user, i.e Goblin...

Loyalists are loyal to whom?

All minor, perhaps too minor to deserve a topic of its own, but it made me wonder..to the point it had to be clarified for me. To what are the Loyalists loyal for? Assuming all factions are from the HttT timeperiod (because of the Rebels), are they loyal to Queen Asheviere or the original/legitimate...

Re: *picture heavy* Epic Battles

I don't understand why you want to 'wait'. Nor why you want people to believe it's not from an actual match...who cares? The point is to be more realistic. This is just my opinion, of course. I made these "prototypes" so to speak as being an artform, depicting something, giving the viewer...

Re: *picture heavy* Epic Battles

I like, but again: it'd be better imo with units being damaged/adjacent. thanks, however I prefer to wait for such an approach, and want to evade the image from someone's head that it is taken from a real in-game match. :lol2: Did you take that from Fall of Trent? Do you mean the map? Whaaatt! :aug...

Re: *picture heavy* Epic Battles

Here's a more "natural" approach, together with scenery and point-outs: Orcish raid http://img130.imageshack.us/img130/5868/tacb.png I thought it was funny how there was an army of goblins up front. XD and this is why, :lol2: Quote from Goblin Spearman's in-game description: In battle, the...

*picture heavy* Epic Battles

*picture heavy topic* (do not know if this is in the correct forumsection, move if neccesary) I made a "story" in the writer's forum section, which I unfortunately didn't have time to finish (sorry for the readers there), and the screenshots I made there to give a more depth to the story g...

Re: A Goblin's Tale

My first issue is that you don't keep the tenses straight. You mix up between perfect, past, and present, with little reason. Generally, here's how it works. In the past, if you are discussing something that happened *even earlier,* you don't use the same tense. That's pretty hard, as verb tenses c...

Re: Great Continent Map (playable)

Thank you, I assume this is the only if not the best map resembling Wesnoth and it's surrounding areas? (Great Continent) I like the labels, but there are some mistakes I think, correct me if I'm wrong but shouldn't it be "Estmark" instead of "Eastmark" and shouldn't the Ford of ...

Re: A Goblin's Tale

.. ROAWR!! Argahnur woke up in an instant after hearing a big animal roar. He looked around him, as he saw only trees.. He slowly began to realize what happened, he has escaped his Orcish clan tribe and has fell asleep in the forest after fleeing as far as he could possibly go from the Orcish territ...

A Goblin's Tale

Let me first point out that English is not my native language, I made this in my spare time and I think it could be promising. This is my first time writing a fan fiction, so please bare with me and correct me with any mistakes you should encounter, Thank you. Because he was weak, frail, and slow, ...

Great Continent Map (playable)

I used search several times, didn't come up with good results.. Mainly because the word "map" comes up with topics about the background maps of Wesnoth rather then a playable map made with the map-editor, y'know.. :P Basically I am in search of a map that resembles the Great Continent, or ...

Re: Galactic Empires (MP Sci-fi Scenario)

I've found some maps in C:\Program Files\Battle for Wesnoth 1.6.5\userdata\data\campaigns\Galactic_Empires\maps but I can't seem to find these maps when in-game? I see a Delta Quadrant Map file, a Gamma Quadrant Map file, 6p Galaxy, Galaxy, Space_Grid_Hex, Space_Grid_Oblong.. How do I play these map...

Re: Galactic Empires (MP Sci-fi Scenario)

This is great, I like it. If you beam up a unit that already almost depleted his mp then it will cause a crash.. Unfortunate bug? http://img687.imageshack.us/img687/4722/aaaasdfg.png Anyone? I like to see this updated frequently, it has alot of potential. The ship graphics and space environment real...

Ranger's Size

Don't you think the Ranger unit's size is a bit.. awkwardly bigger then the rest? My idea is simple and I don't know if it's alot of work; Making the Ranger's posture/size sprite thinner, because he looks very huge compared to other units. Infact, if you compare the Yeti/Dragon to it, they differ ju...
