AI testing is not very useful for balancing MP factions. The aim is to be balanced so that the matchups are even when people are playing 'perfectly'. It's ok if the faction is weak or strong when used by/against bad players. And the AI would probably lose to the lowest ranked players on the ladder. ...

My understanding, back in the day, was that the khalifate were specifically designed to be played in multiplayer against the 6 default factions, unlike most UMC factions. Most other popular UMC factions were inside their own era and balanced against factions within that era for multiplayer. I would ...

In alternate era, TBS decided to just nerf their hp so that adepts are more effective It was -10% cold damage btw, similar effect but doesn't affect other matchups much. I think the problem with PoD is just the size/time factor, same with Terra Dwelve. PoD is actually my favourite map I think, Nerds played in 2 out of the 3 games there. It certainly feels to me that the number of animated sprites in the game has been increasing over the years.

That's just my impression, I have no stats to back it up, but then you aren't presenting any either.

I've been super busy recently, at the least, I'll need to wait until the TGT ends anyway. I'd be interested in another tournament though.
