Re: Loyalist Portrait Series
The face looks strange to me. The nose does not look really human, and on the left side of the face there is an orange dot.
The three-dimensional structure of the reins around the head (of the horse, of course) is a bit unnatural, too.

Re: thespaceinvader's portraits - Wose
You Artists contribute so many great ideas about the nature of the creatures of wesnoth! Please, If you have the time, contribute them to the Writer's forum! :) And the bark makes the wose almost look like a real tree (others have mentioned that already, right? I agree with them :D ) EDIT: Grammar c...

Re: LizardFolk's Sprite (Need Good Advice)
Looks good, but I think it was actually a good idea to give the claws a different color like you have done in the blue sprites.

I also should have read the articleTyler Johnson wrote:The chord is actually simply "D9" as the 7th note in the scale is implied. D13 would also include the 7, 9, 11, and 13.

Re: Something new...
Towards the end, the piece looses the somber mood a bit, maybe because the last three chords sound a bit ordinary. Invalid, because now those chords are in a nice contrast to the added part. 1. The first eight chords could be changed into: c - A_flat - c - A_flat/F - c - F/f/A_flat - c - c (IMO tha...

Re: Fallen
Sorry to ask you, but what chord is D79? I don't know this chord and I can't find it anywhere. Is it the exact and correct name? I'm the kind of musician who composes more by his ears than theory, so to be honest, I could not recall what chords I used if you asked. Look here: Extended chord - Wikip...

Re: Something new...
This sounds good! The beginnig sounds really spectacular. While I was listening to it, I was thinking of a dwarvish undergroud city. Towards the end, the piece looses the somber mood a bit, maybe because the last three chords sound a bit ordinary. But I woud not recommend to take my critique too ser...

Re: Fallen
I think this has a chance to get into the game, but you really need better samples. I think you catch the sad mood very well. I really like the use of diminished chords and minor chords with #6, but I do not recommend to change them into D79 until the next part begins. Your samples are not the best ...

Re: Journey's End
This sounds very good to me! It really expresses the discovery of a really interesting, ancient but alive place with the eyes of a not experienced peasant teenager. I'm sure that this piece fits in with a lot of mainline campaigns.
And I think it complies with the mainline quality standards.

Of course you can draw, and nobody doubt this.woodmouse wrote:I can't even draw anything, like people here say.
The only question is if you can already draw as well as very experienced artists.

Sorry for the wrong statement.
Doesn't the left ear of the horse look better in the not coloured version ?

I don't think that the bottom of the staff should glow.
