In most scenarios the player is the attacking side that must travel some distance to achieve the scenario goals. Thus they can either leave artillery for home defence or wait while it lugs behind the main force. In multiplayer both players can recruit whatever they want, and this more or less neutra...

I'm not sure this could work as envisaged. The Wesnoth engine is not aimed at wargaming, even at semi-strategic level like Panzer General. Whereas in RPGs one onscreen unit can represent one actual figure, a game where infantry and tanks fight side by side is simply not to scale.

Maybe the gameplays are not exactly the same in the two games. Actually, Battle Isle 2 & 3 have less artillery support than History Line, for example (unless you count buggies to be artillery). The main problem with Wesnoth-style artillery might be that units would advance too quickly, especial...

If this was possible in Battle Isle in 1995, it can be possible in Wesnoth in 2005.

"Instantation" certainly is half-understood. Did you mean instance?

Sorry to nitpick, but for me Arendia is a name of kingdom in the fantasy novels of David Eddings (Belgariad/Malloreon) and thus it is hard to fit relate the name to Wesnoth. Not only that, but there might be legal issues as well. The same can be probably said of the Isle of Anduin (except it's a riv...

This does not defeat the objection of not distributing GPLed content, though.

First, the proper URL is http://www.enterbrain.co.jp/tkool/RPG_XP/eng/, index.htm opens a 404 page in Japanese. Second, RPG Maker XP is commercial software, and you need to buy a license to be able to distribute your work. Either way, it's not possible to distribute GPL content in that manner. Third...

I was reading the user scenarios section, and I noticed that it doesn't include info on weather or not they actually work.
I thought that weather is only in the planning? ;)

Angband as a niche game probably does not merit the attention of the copyright holders. And first there was Moria, just to remind you. And what the heck are Odula and Glum?

Z serią *** General łączą go tylko heksy. Natomiast Wa...

Make that 10...I only play in English....
Make that 11... RPGs/fantasy in languages other than English sounds to me like a Mass in vernacular to a conservative Catholic.

Plus, I think the undead are easier to defeat than the orcs. So, maybe the undead should switch castles with the orcs, so you encounter them first. You must have had your mages developed. I find it difficult to promote mages, because they're fragile and need lots of experience, almost twice that of...
