Re: Wesband 0.4.3, now with 4 players (npc level-up freeze fixed
I've got a new bugged savefile for you. This one crashes wesnoth when you attempt to go down a level. Error recived: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Re: Wesband 0.4.2, now with 4 players
Cool. If I still have you, what is your DA game like? Any suggestions for balance of the undead minions? I haven't taken the time lately to try them out in a full game. Mostly they seem roughly balanced against regular henchmen. While they are cheaper gold-wise than any other hench, they require so...

Re: Wesband 0.4.2, now with 4 players
4. Feeding does not work when given to an existing unit (such as the ghoul) outside of natural leveling. I've seen this problem in SurvivalX as well as here, so it may be an issue with the ability. Jamini: I wasn't able to reproduce this. Any hints as to what I might be doing wrong? You're just giv...

Problem with images downloaded from Campain server.
So far I've seen this with myself and at least one other person, so I figured it would be useful to post. Currently, any content I download from the campain server that includes a *.png file is corrupted. I'm using Windows XP with SP2. The error reads: "Could not complete this operation: The fi...

Re: The Era of Strife
Gotta tank AI for keeping on this while I finished up with finals. Now that i'm back and ready to work a bit we'll be stepping up things with EoS (Plus I finally figured out SVN... ) Right now we are working on basic balance between the original four factions and looking forward to intergrating some...

The Era of Strife
Hello folks. Some of you may have noticed that over the last few months several faction ideas have been proposed on this board and partially implemented before being abandoned either due to neglect, or lack of a playable platform. Some of the factions were not viable, others are little more than red...

Re: So how does this compare to FE?
I can honestly say I've learned the name of a significant number of advanced units I gain during campains. In particular I tend to learn the name of my white mages/MOL (since I often train them early in the loyalists campains), my Arch mages/Great Mages (since they take FOREVER to train), some of my...

Re: State of the multiplayer server
Is he... flicking us off? (J/K) I'm very glad that the server has been so much more stable recently, especially in light of the increased traffic that we've been seeing. If I had any money to spend, I would probably donate. If only because wesnoth is practically my favorite game (and defiantly my fa...

Re: Draws in Ranked Games/Tournaments/etc.
Neither side wins, play another map. That's how I would handle it, especially in a tournament. If *all* players agree that a match is going nowhere then a draw would be declaired and neither side advances. For ladder play (Assuming a 1500 point ladder where points are won and lost according to wins ...

Re: How to fight/handle higher level Units?
Magic, Slow, Berserk, Backstab, Baiting, Pinning, Poison, Noretal attacks etc, etc.
There are lots of ways to handle high-level units, but the best way to avoid having to kill a high level unit is to not let your opponent level a unit. Or to level one of your own.

Re: 1.5 request
One thing about AI development that has always bugged me: why are we having the AI consider risks and tactics differently than we play? Obviously, every player has a differing method on how they think (or don't think) though a turn. However I seriously doubt that many players, even the average or go...

Re: [illuminate], negative values, and a workaround.
That did it.
I suppose what we had been trying before didn't tell the game what location to filter, so it was just ignoring the filter, or something like that.
Thanks governor ^^v

Neither implementation is causing the ability to respect TOD in any way. :/

[illuminate], negative values, and a workaround.
I've been working on a darkens/deluminates ability for a faction i've been toying around with. However, recently i've run into a problem with the abilities of one of my units. Apparently the [Illuminates] tag doesn't allow for specifying how low (negative, chaotic) a value can go globally, like it d...

Re: More junk from me: Random Conquest MP vs campaign
Found one minor problem when playing this. In one game against a friend who did not have the map we ended up having to quit at game 2. Although I had won the first match, he had managed to roll my three level 2 units and dominate the battlefild. However, when we tried to advance both of us got kicke...
