Re: LordBob's commissionned work

Cool, but his right hand in line with his pauldron is a little hard to read... at a first glance, it looked to me as if he was weighing a stone with bad texturing. :P I know you know better what stones look like - that's why I looked closer - but in fact I still don't know what his right hand is doi...

Re: New animations

Reviving the undead...

Well, this is a pretty old fellow - but not forgotten. He looked very weak when you saw him the last time, but I hope he's better now. ;)

Re: Valkiers portraits: It's like I can touch you!

Woah, if I was an orcish girly, I'd want to have a pinup Rakshas over my bed! (Mainly because of his face - lovely shading and the slight structure on his cheek really adds live to this portrait.) Concerning his arms: the size of the muscles looks fine to me (at least on the upper arms - n...

Re: Campaign art - Descent into Darkness

I like the improvements! - The mouth and the slightly more prominent lazy eye make him more easily identifiable, even though the character seems to have gained some strength / self-esteem. The shading of decaying Malin looks better, too - the older version looked a little flat and too much like the ...

Re: water animation

Pretty much liking the idea, there are several campaigns which could use them, but there might be issues with "blood" - Wesnoth has to remain playable for the young ones, too : might be strange, but bones should be ok, whereas something clearly identifiable as blood is not, as far as I kno...

Re: water animation

Aye, welcome DerWer ! - and right away, there's things to learn : A thread called "water animation" is not about fog, so I'd say : wrong thread. As there is no thread about fog that I know of, you might consider opening one... ... BUT, the question you should be able to answer then, especi...

Re: water animation

Impressive, indeed... :) - there is something disturbing about the cliff waves, though, I noticed while reading: if you're not focused on admiring the water's movement, having those thin white lines appear around your island for an instance creates a certain "blink" effect (you probably ha...

Re: New animations

i would use this animation. it is not perfect but is is really good. Thanks, but there's really no need to replace it now - I will fix this one, asap. Ideas are floating in my head, but I'm just not having quite the good times I'd like for doing some nice pixelwork, atm. :| Only thing I can say is:...

Re: New animations

Uhh, lots of comments, on things I didn't even expect - excellent! :P Swing trajectory & motion blur: Is it the "edges" that look odd to you? Or just what Thrawn said (that it should be more towards the viewer)? Otherwise, I don't really get it what's wrong, sorry - could you be more p...

Re: New animations

Draug incoming?

Oh, yeah, I once said I'd care about him...
... well, "incoming" is still the right word. He came in in such a hurry, btw, that he appears to have lost his loincloth.
So, gotta work some more on him, but comments are already appreciated! :D

Re: New animations

Some edits to the skeleton warrior: Added one frame at the end and respected most of Jetryl's advice. (Yeah, I know, it's been a while... ) 1] That looks generally awesome. -- let's hope it still does... 2] The frames should all be centered - remember that the sprite itself is going to...

Re: Standing and idle animations?

Personally, I'd say the animation is very fitting, well done and to me it was obvious that she brushed some dust off her dress even on the first image and before I read the text. To sum it up again: I like it!

(Of course the second version is definitely to be preferred.)

Re: New animations

If you would like to do death frames for the lich, it might be cool to do the lich like the dark-adept's animation is done; which is the classic "Obi-wan kenobi death" - the character just vanishes, and the robe falls to the ground. Do not add sparkly magic effects. I will do that; it's d...

Re: New animations

2] The frames should all be centered... ah, sure, I forgot... Anyway: I have not found out yet how fast the sprite moves when attacking - if I knew, I could move the standing leg ( :P ) at the same speed backwards, so it looks as if he was indeed pushing himself forward on this one. 3] Try to minim...

Re: New animations

Voilà, the Revenant's expanded attack... (with background, so the semi-transparent effects are visible) Ready for some tweaking... (well, just noticed the left leg's movement probably needs to be worked on - I'll await your comments first, though.) EDIT: sorry, right leg that is... btw.: t...
