ability idea: sneak attack

a unit with this ability may deliver a sneak attack to a unit attacking another unit. The condition is being adiacent to enemy unit. example: an elf attacking an orc is adiacent to an orc assassin with this ability. Before the attack, the orc assassin delivers a sneak attack, then the attack proceed...

alignment for villages

Villages could have alignment the same way as factions. This could bring some effects on the gameplay, example: chaotic villages will give full healing only to chaotic units, half healing to the other ones and so on.

the risk is to making units that are practically identical to many already existing human units. And... what's the point of making an archer that evolves in a... crossbowman?! :? I think you could create also the witch unit (an ideal target for the inquisition) temuchin: I dont know which books are ...

interesting idea, but historically inquisitors were priests with special powers, not warriors, so you should make some corrections. IMHO, instead of a faction, you could make just some units, like fanatics (funny with fork, torch and a "let's burn the witch" slogan!) and witch hunters (tha...

A far oriental era, imho that would be awesome.

I'm thinking at samurai, ninja, but also at fantasy creatures like tengu (flying birdmen) Oni (big brutal demons) or Kappa (little turtle like humanoids)...

Maybe that could be just a faction, instead than a era. I'm going to think about it.

Ability Idea: pushing (or force back?)

pushing (or force back?)

Unit with this ability can make enemy move back by 1 hex in opposite direction when attacks.

An option could be: when get a hit on all its attacks (meaning that the attack was so powerful to force back the enemy).

IMHO this could be strategically interesting.

They're more or less big (as compared to normal rats) and vicious rats, and they live in the sewers of big cities. Ok, this much is fine. However, I don't see any point in trying to make a faction out of them. Some more generic monsters to use in campaigns and such would be good and some rat creatu...

Here's other unit ideas: rat pack (swarm?)= a single unit made of many rats (not ratmen, just normal rats). lot of attacks with very little damage (high % to get disease). giant rabid rat = to compensate their faction poor fighting skills, ratmen shamans feed their rats with strange underground root...

Ratmen faction

Ratmen ratmen are a faction of ratlike humanoids that live in the sewers of the biggest cities. They are mean, physically little and quick (generally poor HP but good movement). faction traits: - Given their strong immune system, all ratmen are immune to poison. - They are physically weak, so they m...

I also had this idea. I think orcish wolf riders could Pillage (or raid, or plunder) villages and earn money (or health, or both) instead of capturing them. A pillaged village is destroyed. I think this could add more fun to the game.

need help

hello, let me say I love wesnoth and I think this campaign is very very well done. I'm doing the incredibly hard scenario called "river of skulls" and, with a LOT of patience and strategy, I managed to kill nearly all those dwarves and nagas. I am at 90 turn, explored all the lava river, b...
