Campaign - Where Angels Fear To Tread - getting from 1.1.7?

Hi, everybody. From 2006 to 2007, I worked on a Battle for Wesnoth campaign called "Where Angels Fear to Tread". I released four scenarios, and then grad school happened, and I had to put Wesnoth on hold for a number of years. (You can find the original campaign here: http://forums.wesnoth...

Thanks. That was actually really bothering me for some reason. I'm glad someone else noticed how distracting it was.

An explanation for the delays: While I still am committed to finishing this campaign eventually, grad school and other factors have seriously been getting in the way, and I probably won't have too much time to work on it until the summer. If you still want to follow my work in the field of fantasy, ...

My favorite mainline campaign is Under the Burning Suns. As far as user created campaigns go, I think that once I finish my current play-through of Liberty it will probably become my new favorite. There is no one "best" campaign, though; the different campaigns are tailored to different pl...

Okay, the next update will have the name of the new Drake unit changed to Drake Ascendant, to avoid conflicts with 1.3.x's mainline inclusion of Armageddon Drake.

Grrr.

Now that we're in 1.2.2, I was hoping we could get this unpinned, or at least updated.

The very fact that you're going to actually have your own music is impressive by itself.

Thanks, Grey Wolf, I'll take a look at toning down the Brotherhood's power level slightly. I've taken a short break on this campaign over the past week to work on my Yeti campaign, but that should be done by the end of the weekend, at which point I'll finish the next scenario. I should add that I've...

New Yeti Campaign - An Abominable Journey

For a while, I've been working on a light-hearted, extremely short campaign featuring a race which I feel has been wrongfully neglected by campaign developers: the noble and majestic Yeti. Yes, I'm being serious. Stop laughing. Grunthor is a kind, gentle Yeti, who wants nothing more than to quietly ...

My campaign is also somewhat of an outlaw campaign, in that the recruit list is the standard L3 Outlaw recruit list, minus the mounted units, even though the bulk of the story focuses on the 6+ hero characters who are representative of various different races. Still, it might be useful to get a sens...

Re: A few questions

I've been developing some campaigns. One of them is rather grandiose. The last couple of maps involve very large armies. I am running into the same problem that happens on the mystery campaign. Leaders who refuse to spend but a faction of their gold. In the mystery campaign I'll kill the enemy lead...

I wasn't talking about whether they were balanced or not; mostly, I just wanted to know whether I was undervaluing ambush. Perhaps I should have titled this thread "How strong of an ability is ambush", but it seems like the general consensus is that most people, in general, would take back...

I don't get how this goes in strategies and tips... or am I missing the point? Personally, I'd like to see a multiplayer era developed to include the Quenoth elves, with new desert factions that are balanced within the era. Maybe call it the Hydrobellum (Water War) Era? I put this in strategies and...
