Re: Elves getting their own mage unit?

Ah, sorry, i guess i should have searched first. You know, thinking about it in retrospect, an art change to make the rebel mage look more explorer or nature-like would probably be the simplest and best solution, as well as the best for balance. Well, anyway, mods can lock/delete the thread if they ...

Re: Bugs in development version?

AH!

That seems like a likely problem. Thanks.

I'll play some more tomorrow, and if i encounter the problems again, I'll reply in this thread.

Elves getting their own mage unit?

Personally i think the fact that the elves and the loyalists "share" the mage unit is sort of silly. The name of the faction is even "Elves" and not a group blanket term like "knalgan alliance." I think that elves should get their own version of the mage. Some of the re...

Bugs in development version?

Picked up 1.5.6 and played a game of Undead (me) vs Knalgan Alliance (comp) on Hamlets (2p) with 70% exp, fog of war, no shroud, no time limit, no observers. While playing the game, when i tried to use the conventional ctrl+r to recruit units at the hex of my choice. It didn't respond to this, and a...

If it's supposed to be an elf the lipstick kinda ruins it...
I don't think elves normally wear any sort of makeup.
I guess you could argue that her lips are normally that red, but i doubt it.
Just a thought.

It actually looks excellent, other than the aliasing.

You may need more detail, but I've seen finished drawings that were this simple, and looked good.

Keep in mind you need shading - i would recommend doing this when you color, as you can use different shades, of course.

Ah, i didnt realize they were bespectacled.... Anyway, i would go with the original drawing of the ponderer, because the new one looks like he has sunglasses. but either make the outer corner edges darker, or more transparent, and make the central bridge more apparent.

The catburglar and bard (and to some extent, burglar) have tiny heads. Should be easy to fix just by frankensteining an existing head from some unit. Ahaha, usually people make huge heads. Anyway they look good, just a little wide, and of course the heads are a little small. Also, they are facing f...

Actually a pretty solid drawing, the only thing it needs is cleaning up and more detail.

The eyes on the potioner and ponderer are square, but i assumed you already knew that.

I'm too tired to look hard enough to give any better criticism, sorry.

They look awesome, but they would be out of place in the whole Wesnoth game, IMO. Uh, the idea isn't to put the 3d models directly in the game, it's to use them to get an idea of what the castle should look like then redraw it in pixel art... Oh, okay i understand now. But did you have to be so mea...

Get rid of the bright spots on the beard (make them a bit darker, too much contrast,) and make the telescope darker and you've got a great Frankenstein.

The whole thing needs antialiasing and shading, for starters.
