"I didn't mean to insult, that was my genuine impression of the image, certain absence and lack of engagement in his habitus."

And that my friend is a constructive criticism. Youre learning fast!

What is your reason to make him look like he's reciting the multiplication tables? Comments like these make me wonder why I do pro-bono work sometimes. Crticisms are great, but lets keep it constructive and professional shall we? We are all doing this for fun, I certainly am. That said, Groovy's vi...

One down, lots more to go. I hope I pick up speed eventually. I've been caught up in some personal matters the past few days. Hoping to get more productive and keep churning the portraits in the following days. Here's Hamel, with a bigger scale. I'll be emailing ESR the highest res file (which is st...

Hey guys. Thanks for the feedback. To answer a few, yes I will keep the BG uniform in color and lighting. They will all be a dark wash, but in gradation, not opaque. As far as size goes, I'm all for 205x205, I will just have to work on a lower scale, which works for me, because it saves time. ...And...

Portraits: Hammer of Thursagain

Hi, guys. I started a thread to mark my progress in the completion of the portrait set for Hammer of Thursagain. If the dev team for this campaign would rather not have this up in public, please let me know. I started with a 205x205 dimension, after reading some of the tips in the other thread. The ...

Hey, guys. Thanks for dropping by. I will be working on ESR and Sapient’s campaign first, then move on to Turn and Urs. Right now I want to stick to one campaign and see it through completion (at least as far as portraits are concerned), then move on to another campaign.I’ll limit it from head t...

Hey guys, thanks for the quick response. I was hoping to get started early :D Urs: I like that you guys have your own boards. It will really help us have a more solid collaboration. I skimmed through the plot real quick, and the lore and culture is really exciting, so is the fact that you are planni...

I'll send them in TIFF when i wrap up the whole set, still not sure what comes after the intro of the princess, will have to dig around. As for Delf, I can color the hair, but adding hair to the existing pic is another matter. It will just look strange. Unless I redo the whole thing which I don't ha...

Hello! Once again, thanks for the comments and crits. I have already addressed some of them: added a visible arm to Delf, and gave individual faces to the soldiers in the Delf+army pic, as well as the earlier King+army pic. As for the queen, I purposely tried to make her a bit youthful, considering ...

How's it going, guys? I have a few new things to add, all of which I've been doing on and off in between other unrelated tasks, so please bear with the highly randomized delay. Here are the low-res of the 4 ThhT images: http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b338/deceptant8/thht3_devenecia.jpg http://i22...

Hey guys, just wanted to thank you all for the warm reception. I wish I could hurry up and finish all of the images for ThtT but other things require attention too, unfortunately. Rest assured it will get done, and I have taken note of the various concerns, one of which is the pg13 nature of the gam...

Hi, guys, thanks again for dropping by. I finished two of the opening sequences for ThtT. Thought I'd share my progress with you guys and see if I am going in the right direction with this, as all of you have been in this game longer than I have. Before I go on any further, here are the low-res of t...

Thanks for the kind words though I hardly deserve it. Thanks as well for the information provided. I recognize the clean approach to the portrait art in terms of lines and values that Eleazar has mentioned. I agree that its absolutely necessary to keep a uniformed look. I was asked by Dave and Scott...
