Who is Isar? And why does he have both a cross and a hamburger named after him?

see noy, the main problem is you just dont have all the facts but we already discussed this in lobby Why don't you tell us the "facts" then Cack. I'm sure everybody wants to hear your side of the story. Well, since Cack has declined to offer up the facts, here are the facts as will be bac...

Damn. someone do a forum search and look up Bec's infamous rant. I believe I put some stats in there on the subject of ghouls vs. skels when facing woses.

UPDATE: Here it is.

My proposal is basically the current display, calculated for any sequence of attacks.

eg. You can find out what the ctk and final defender hp distribution will be like for an elvish fighter and a wose attacking a 30 hp unit.

That would be really nice to have. E.g. select 3 of your units, select a target unit and get a display of the CTK and maybe the expected remaining HP of that unit :). But the user interface for that is probably hard to implement. Yes, something like that would be very nice, but indeed most likely n...

WizardMagus, I assume you mean poacher@night everytime you mention footpad. And I agree with the tactics. It's obviously better to attack with two poachers vs. a 17hp unit than a thunderer and a poacher. In this case, I think mode and median would lead you to the same conclusion. And yes, both your ...

Blue Water Province: I like this map…the way it looks and plays. . I do think there is a potential for stalemate games here though. The battle flow is really pushed to the hard edges of the map, where there are two thin strips of “good terrain”. A problem I’ve encountered several (less than...

Hey Cackfiend, I PM'd you, but haven't gotten any responses. Are you available to reschedule our match tonight or tomorrow night? I'm organizing a birthday party for a 1 yr old during match-time tomorrow so won't be able to make it. After the party is fine, Sunday is fine, or Friday night. -Yogin

Maps for Semi-Finals of 2v2 Tourney

Maps for Semi-Finals of 2v2 Tourney Game 1: Castle-Hopping Isle Game 2: Blue-Water Province Game 3: Path of Daggers --- Game 4: Hamlets Game 5: Loris River ----- How the maps were chosen: Each map was inverse weighted according to the # of times played by current participants, and then they were ra...

Well, I was just thinking in the battle window itself, possibly right above the distribution. It would be difficult to construct a comprehensive list of EV(damage) values in a roll-over, because of the number of unit types on the battlefield as well as the different terrains they can inhabit. Any g...

WizardMagus, thanks for the nice post. It sounds like what you want is an expected damage for possible onscreen matchups window, not an expected battle outcome window. Something similar to the current "roll-over" of a unit's damage types that tells you resists. However, you'd want somethin...

If you guys approve, I'll post 2 sets of 5 maps in order, for each matchup in the semi-finals. OK, well it seems forums were screwed up, and everyone agreed. I remember from before forums went down, the following objections: mori4 (for semi-finals round): jb hamlets: zero blue water province: zero ...

I talked to Myth, and there seems to be a need for an impartial selection of MP maps for the tourney to go on. If no one objects, I'd be happy to help with this regard. If you guys approve, I'll post 2 sets of 5 maps in order, for each matchup in the semi-finals. The maps will be chosen from the fol...

If I understand your proposal, you're looking for a statistic for the center of the distribution. You either want mean, median, or mode of the distribution. Mean makes no sense, as Winter provided with the Thunderer example. Mean also makes no sense if you look at your first screen shot. The attacke...
