I also think the face looks a bit strange - so I've tried to improve it. I'm not an artist and I don't sure if new face is much better. And sure improvements aren't necessary if there will be an altogether new picture...

But here it is.

And one more issue - now home page have no "shortcut icon" (little human farm which you can see in address line and in tabs in many browsers).
It's no good when some pages of the site have icon and some haven't...

BTW: Wesnoth forum pages have no icon either.

The losses seem low for not save loading often... the kills do though. Well I did save load (and not so rarely to tell the truth), but solely from the begining of a scenario - with an exclusion of when I made really silly mistakes... My suggestion was that it is a difference between real and EV dam...

Evaluated damage in Statistics window

In the end of HttT I had: Damage Inflicted 28969 Damage Taken 14886 Damage Inflicted (EV) 28946.1 Damage Taken (EV) 15535.3 I noticed some differences (in my favour) between real and EV values. And since I play with minimum save-loading, I wonder if such a difference is normal? BTW what's the method...

It seems to me that a new navigation is a bit less transparent then the old one. May be there should be "Home" in the navigation line? But it's just a minor issue - the site is really good. It is discreet, simple, professional-looking and neat. And princess on the main page makes it even b...

I, as a player, like to discover things, like for example the unit upgrades you'll eventually get to in campaigns, so for me, starting out with everything available isn't the way to got. I'm agree. I recently completed HttT and it was very intresting to find something new in every scenario. I feel ...

Re: Making Wesnoth less frustrating

Sorry for the resurrection (sic! :)) of this trend, but: What I think is that on easy levels, units of level 2+ that are 'killed' in a scenario should simply be considered wounded, and forced to withdraw from combat for the remainder of the scenario. Then they can be recalled as normal during the ne...

Oops
I don't know why I start to play 0.9.6 Wesnoth in windowed mode but the problem was that there is simply no room for that terrain name.

So It's not the bug in the game but solely my folly. Sorry.

BTW Wesnoth is one of the most addictive games I've ever seen!

No terrain name information in 0.9.6 - is it right?

There was a terrain name in the upper right corner in 0.9.5 - but it disappeared now in 0.9.6. I wonder if that is an intentional change or just a minor bug? In either case I don't like this change - it was handily to have a hint about what you see (especially for a new player). For example villages...

Agreed. I think some explanations on this matter (even if very short) would be useful.

Do you mean that you used mermen as your main defence force in this scenario?

Well, people have different leveling priorities... you have to husband the enemy XP and decide where you're going to allocate new levels. For example Filin had 2 White Mages and a Red Mage at the beginning of this level, plus a Rogue. It took me until Sceptre of Fire, I think, to get my second Whit...

I did it!!! :D And I'm happy now. ...And I did it with what I had. The main problem was my ill-balanced army. And lack of money of course... The trick was - "less levelled units, more cannon fodder". Levelled units were TOO expensive and died too often without protection (mages not good as...
