I'd picked "something with Skirmish" for the chess Knight to represent his ability to move over pieces in his path - the Wesnoth Knight can move far, but not over things; Skirmish is pretty close to moving over things.

The Drake campaign (Fight to Freedom?) has horses alone; the neutral AI and unit already exists.

Using "fora" instead of "forums"...

I got an awesome error message earlier:
The Forum wrote: message_die() was called multiple times. This isn't supposed to happen. Was message_die() used in page_tail.php?

Perhaps with "quotation marks" around the spam?

I don't have any idea what I'm doing, so this is a complete and total failure (so far), but here's a pitiful part of a pathetic first attempt anyway. I was attempting to modify the Wesbowl code.

I wasn't aware you could do anything that complicated in WML - my ideas were all basically "setup the game this way" and then let it run under the standard Wesnoth rule set. I was thinking of doing this to teach myself enough WML to see if I wanted to put a campaign together (I have a plot...

Higher level units' death animations should take longer. It fits better with the significance of the event. May I suggest that ALL units have slower death animations? In 9.1, the death animations flash by pretty fast. Maybe make each frame last, say, 1.5 times as long? The first few times I saw it ...

Chessnoth

I'm wondering if anyone has made a chesslike adaptation of Wesnoth before? I'm not any good at chess, but I think it'd make an interesting multiplayer variant. The rules: A) Win condition is kill the opposing leader, as normal B) No recruitment, preferably no keep tile if the game allows that C) Paw...

I found that Dacyn was gone in the third scenario "An Unexpected Appearance" on Medium (same problem as the above poster) and also that he's not there on the next scenario "Undead Border Patrol". In UBP, Gweddry starts on a keep tile, so that other problem shouldn't occur...has D...

I should think it would see a lot of use - people are constantly making up units here on this forum, but they never see the light of day because many of us are too lazy to actually make anything out of them and see if they're useful. A quick way to make a unit and just stick it into a multiplayer ga...

Originally, they stole food from some dude name Phineas...perhaps they'd make good campaign monsters if they stole villiages. They'd need a custom AI, "take villiages at all costs". They'd be too fragile to be really serious monsters, but they'd be really annoying if they kept taking your ...

One of the current interpretations of Harpies is of evil, vulture-like creatures...under this, I think this might be a good addition to the Undead line, although not so much a race in and of itself. It could give the Undead something with Holy resistance, although they don't really need another scou...
